Tee Higgins provides injury update entering bye week

Bengals WR Tee Higgins talks about his injury status at the bye week.

If nothing else, it sounds like Cincinnati Bengals wideout Tee Higgins didn’t suffer any sort of setback during the win over the Seattle Seahawks while playing through the rib injury.

Higgins told reporters that while he’s a little sore, it was nothing out of the ordinary from exiting a typical game, per CLNS Media’s Mike Petraglia.

Higgins was a game-time decision on Sunday and ended up suiting up, though as noted by our snap count takeaways, he played just 54 percent of the snaps, catching two of his four targets for 20 yards.

On the season, Higgins has 14 catches for 149 yards and two scores, with eight, 89 and the two scores coming in a single game. He’ll have the bye week to rehab the injury before he starts attempting to recover from this slow start.

Orlando Brown Jr. says he will be back after bye week

An injury update on Bengals OT Orlando Brown Jr.

Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. left Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks due to a groin injury.

As the Bengals biggest addition over the offseason to a line that has struggled to protect Joe Burrow for years now, it was concerning to see him leave the game. He didn’t return, but after the game he told Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer that he would be back after the bye week.

The Bengals are off in Week 7, so if there ever was a time for Brown to be slightly banged up, it would be when he can get an extra week of rest.

Brown initially suffered a groin injury against the Tennessee Titans but ended up playing the next week when the Bengals beat the Arizona Cardinals. However, this has been a lingering issue since that game.

With San Francisco and Buffalo coming up after the off week, the Bengals are going to need Brown to get healthy, so the bye week comes at a good time.

Bengals lose OT Orlando Brown Jr. to injury vs. Seahawks

Bengals OT Orlando Brown Jr. suffers an injury.

Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. left Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks with a groin injury.

Onlookers first noticed Brown missing from the game in the fourth quarter because it was Cody Ford out there playing left tackle next to Cordell Volson.

The Bengals later reported the groin injury, listing Brown as questionable to return.

Brown was the big-ticket addition to the offensive line this past offseason, so his absence is huge. Ford, who has experience at tackle and guard, came in because D’Ante Smith was one of the game-day inactives.

The Bengals have a bye next week, so the hope will have to be that Brown can be ready for the week after that.
