Notre Dame basketball vs. Syracuse postponed, game added

COVID-19 is to blame as yet another Notre Dame basketball game has been affected due to the virus.

Notre Dame’s basketball game against Syracuse scheduled for December 22 at the Carrier Dome has been cancelled due to COVID-19.

According to the ACC release, a recent Syracuse opponent had positive tests that require the Orange to quarantine and contact trace before being allowed to resume play.

As a result, Notre Dame has now added a game to the schedule as the Irish will host Bellarmine on December 23 at 12 p.m. ET.

That game will not air on television because of the late scheduling and holiday staffing protocols but will air on the Notre Dame Basketball Radio Network.

This is Bellarmine’s first year playing Division I basketball as they’re 1-2 on the young season.  They’ve lost to both Duke and Chattanooga while getting a win over Howard.
