Here’s every Bears pick by round in the 2024 NFL draft

The 2024 NFL draft has arrived, where the Bears will welcome a new rookie class to the fold. See where Chicago will be picking each round.

The 2024 NFL draft has arrived, and the Chicago Bears will welcome a new rookie class to the roster this weekend.

The Bears have just four draft picks, but all of them are within the first four rounds. That includes two selections in the top 10 — the first overall pick (courtesy of the Carolina Panthers) and the ninth overall selection.

Despite Chicago only having four selections, Poles told reporters Tuesday he doesn’t feel the need to add more picks this year. But it also wouldn’t be a surprise to see them trade back, if the price is right.

Here’s where the Bears will be picking in the 2024 NFL draft:

Round 1 Nos. 1 (from CAR), 9
Round 2 None
Round 3 No. 75
Round 4 No. 122 (from PHI)
Round 5 None
Round 6 None
Round 7 None

General manager Ryan Poles has some work ahead of him, as there are needs at quarterback and defensive line. But this roster has improved significantly since Poles took over three years ago.

The 2024 NFL draft runs from Thursday, April 25 through Saturday, April 27.

Updated 2024 NFL draft order after Week 15

Here’s a look at the updated 2024 NFL draft order following Week 15 action:

Week 15 of the 2023 NFL season is in the books, which featured another thrilling slate of action. While there’s still three weeks left in the regular season, we’re starting to get a glimpse at what the top of the draft order will look like.

Fans of the Bears, Patriots and Cardinals should be excited as their teams look to lock down a top-three selection. Meanwhile, fans of the Panthers aren’t sitting pretty as they’ve already dealt their 2024 first-round selection to the Bears, who are currently slotted to have the No. 1 selection.

Here’s an updated look at the 2024 NFL draft order following Week 15 action, courtesy of the folks at Tankathon:

Where the Bears are projected to pick in 2024 NFL draft after Week 15

Here’s where the Bears are slated to pick with both first round selections in the 2024 NFL draft after Week 15 action.

The Chicago Bears suffered a devastating 20-17 loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, where they blew a fourth-quarter lead for the third time this season.

So how did Chicago’s loss impact their current draft positioning?

Following Sunday’s action, the Bears still hold two of the top five picks in the 2024 NFL draft, according to Tankathon.

The Carolina Panthers’ first-round pick, which belongs to Chicago, remains No. 1 overall — even after the team won their second game of the season and the New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals each lost. Meanwhile, the Bears’ selection is still fifth overall after their loss and subsequent results around the league.

  1. Bears (via Panthers, 2-12)
  2. Patriots (3-11)
  3. Cardinals (3-11)
  4. Commanders (4-10)
  5. Bears (5-9)

There are plenty of questions surrounding the Bears with the final four games on deck, including the future of quarterback Justin Fields. If Chicago manages to snag the top selection in the draft, general manager Ryan Poles will need to determine whether any quarterback in the 2024 class blows him away or if the Bears will stick with Fields, who’s entering the final year of his rookie deal (and the fifth-year option is still in play). Trading back from a top draft spot isn’t out of the question either.

The Panthers remain the lone two-win team left in the NFL, where the New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals each have three wins, which means Carolina needs to lose just two more games this season (or they need to win one or some) for Chicago to secure the top pick for a second consecutive season.

For what it’s worth, the Panthers will face the Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Buccaneers to close out the season.

Where the Bears are projected to pick in 2024 NFL draft after Week 14

Here’s where the Bears are slated to pick with both first round selections in the 2024 NFL draft after Week 14 action.

The Chicago Bears pulled off an impressive 28-13 upset win against the Detroit Lions, which marked the first time the team has won back-to-back games under head coach Matt Eberflus. And it certainly looks like the Bears are starting to turn a corner.

So how did their win impact Chicago’s current draft positioning?

Following Sunday’s action, the Bears currently hold two of the top five picks in the 2024 NFL draft, according to Tankathon.

The Carolina Panthers’ first-round pick, which belongs to Chicago, remains No. 1 overall after the team lost their 12th game of the season — and the New England Patriots got a surprising win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Meanwhile, the Bears’ selection is still fifth overall after their win and subsequent results around the league.

  1. Bears (via Panthers, 1-12)
  2. Patriots (3-10)
  3. Cardinals (3-10)
  4. Commanders (4-9)
  5. Bears (5-8)

The Panthers remain the lone one-win team left in the NFL, where the New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals each have three wins, which means Carolina needs to lose just two more games this season for Chicago to secure the top pick for a second consecutive season.

Updated 2024 NFL draft order after Week 14

Here’s a look at the updated 2024 NFL draft order following Week 14 action:

Week 14 of the 2023 NFL season is in the books, which featured another thrilling slate of action. While there’s still four weeks left in the regular season, we’re starting to get a glimpse at what the top of the draft order will look like.

Where the Bears are projected to pick in 2024 NFL draft after Week 7

Here’s where the Bears are slated to pick with both first round selections in the 2024 NFL draft after Week 7 action.

The Chicago Bears snapped their 10-game home losing streak with a 30-12 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, sending Chicago to a 2-5 record.

So what does a victory mean for the Bears’ current draft hopes?

Following Sunday’s win, the Bears currently hold the two of the top three picks in the 2024 NFL draft, according to Tankathon.

The Carolina Panthers’ first-round pick, which belongs to Chicago, remains the first overall pick. Meanwhile, the Bears’ selection, which has been No. 2 for a few weeks, is now the third overall pick after Chicago’s win and the Arizona Cardinals dropping to 1-6.

  1. Bears (via Panthers, 0-6)
  2. Cardinals (1-6)
  3. Bears (2-5)
  4. Broncos (2-5)
  5. Giants (2-5)

There’s still a lot of season left to be played, and Chicago landing the No. 1 pick is far from a certainty. If they do secure the top selection, general manager Ryan Poles will have an important decision to make — trade it and stick with Justin Fields or use the pick on a quarterback. But that decision is far down the road, especially as other positional concerns continue to rear their ugly heads.

The Panthers remain the only winless team in the NFL, and that didn’t change with the team on a bye week.

While the Minnesota Vikings (2-4) and San Francisco 49ers (5-1) don’t play until Monday night, Chicago’s draft positioning won’t be impacted be either result (after the Vikings defeated the Bears in Week 6).

Bears’ updated 2023 draft picks after blockbuster trade with Panthers

The Bears traded the No. 1 pick to the Panthers for a massive haul. Here’s an updated look at Chicago’s draft picks in 2023:

The Chicago Bears made a splash in trading the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft to the Carolina Panthers for an impressive haul that includes two first-rounders, two second-rounders and wide receiver DJ Moore.

On top of landing the No. 9 and No. 61 picks from the Panthers this year, the Bears will have an additional first-round pick in 2024 and second-round pick in 2025.

Where things currently stand, Chicago has 10 selections in the 2023 NFL draft. Here’s a look at the those finalized picks after the Bears traded the top pick to the Panthers:

  • Round 1, No. 9 (from Panthers)
  • Round 2, No. 53 (from Ravens)
  • Round 2, No. 61 (from Panthers via 49ers)
  • Round 3, No. 64
  • Round 4, No. 103
  • Round 4, No. 133 (from Eagles)
  • Round 5, No. 135
  • Round 5, No. 148 (from Ravens via Patriots)*
  • Round 7, No. 218
  • Round 7, No. 258 (compensatory pick)

Interestingly enough, five of their draft picks came in trades with other teams, including their first three selections.

While the Bears have traded the No. 1 pick, that doesn’t mean Poles is done trading back and acquiring additional capital. Could they even trade back from ninth overall? Guess we’ll have to wait until the draft to find out.

Updated look at Bears’ draft selections after comp picks

The Bears have nine picks in the 2023 NFL draft after receiving a seventh-round compensatory pick from the NFL.

With the 2023 NFL draft less than two months away, all eyes are on the Chicago Bears and what they’re going to do with the No. 1 pick.

The expectation is general manager Ryan Poles will trade out of the top spot in order to land additional compensation, especially considering the number of holes on the roster.

On Thursday, the Bears were awarded a seventh-round compensatory pick by the NFL as part of a “supplemental selection,” which is awarded when the number of compensatory selections is less than 32. They’re given out in terms of draft order, so the Bears and Texans both got an additional seventh-round pick.

Chicago currently has nine selections in the 2023 NFL draft. Here’s a look at the those finalized picks ahead of the start of free agency:

  • Round 1, No. 1
  • Round 2, No. 53 (from Ravens)
  • Round 3, No. 64
  • Round 4, No. 103
  • Round 4, No. 133 (from Eagles)
  • Round 5, No. 135
  • Round 5, No. 148 (from Ravens via Patriots)*
  • Round 7, No. 218
  • Round 7, No. 258 (compensatory pick)

It’s reasonable to assume this list will grow closer to the draft, as the Bears are leaning toward trading away the first overall pick. And with no shortage of roster holes, the Bears can use all of the draft picks they can get.

Bears receive 7th-round compensatory pick in 2023 NFL draft

The Bears have been awarded a seventh-round compensatory pick, which gives them nine draft picks.

The Chicago Bears have been awarded a seventh-round compensatory pick, the NFL announced Thursday.

Technically, the Bears didn’t earn any compensatory picks. This seventh-rounder is what’s known as a “supplemental selection,” per the CBA, which is awarded when the number of compensatory selections is less than 32. They’re awarded in terms of draft order, so the Bears and Texans both get an additional seventh-round pick.

With the additional seventh rounder, Chicago now has nine draft picks ahead of free agency, including the No. 1 pick in the draft. That’s expected to change as the Bears are looking to trade out of the top spot and rack up additional picks as general manager Ryan Poles looks to retool what’s the NFL’s worst roster.

Where things stand, Chicago has picks in the first, second and third rounds, as well as two selections in each of the fourth, fifth and seventh rounds.

Updated look at Bears’ 2023 draft picks after Week 18

With the 2022 regular season in the books, most of the Bears’ 2023 NFL draft picks are set.

The Chicago Bears have wrapped their 2022 season, which culminated with a 3-14 record and a 10-game losing streak.

But the end of 2022 marks the beginning of what’s gearing up to be a potential franchise-altering offseason. Not only is general manager Ryan Poles protected to have around $118 million in salary cap space, but the Bears are also in possession of the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft.

And given Chicago isn’t in need of a quarterback, the Bears hold a lot of leverage with the selection given the quarterback-needy teams that could look to move up to the top spot.

Chicago currently has eight draft selections in the 2023 NFL draft. Here’s a look at the those picks, where all are final except the ones they acquired from the Ravens and Eagles (with both in the postseason).

  • Round 1, No. 1 overall
  • Round 2, No. 56 overall (from Ravens)
  • Round 3, No. 65 overall
  • Round 4, No. 103 overall
  • Round 4, No. 134 overall (from Eagles)
  • Round 5, No. 136 overall
  • Round 5, No. 148/159 overall (from Ravens)*
  • Round 7, No. 220 overall

It’s reasonable to assume this list will grow closer to the draft, as Poles has already shown he’s no stranger to trading back and acquiring additional capital. And with no shortage of roster holes, the Bears can use all of the draft picks they can get. Lucky for them, that No. 1 overall pick gives them the upper hand.

*Unconfirmed whether the Ravens’ fifth-round pick is their own (159) or the one from the Patriots (148).
