It’s been a busy week for the Golden State Warriors. After drafting James Wiseman with the No. 2 overall pick in the NBA draft, the Warriors have been active in the free-agent market.
On Saturday, the Golden State Warriors reportedly signed former Boston Celtics guard Brad Wanamaker to a one-year, $2.25 million deal. Following the move to add Wanamaker to the backcourt, the Warriors are reportedly bringing back a former wing.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Warriors are signing Kent Bazemore to a one-year contract.

Bazemore’s $2.3 million deal won’t impact Golden State’s mid-level exception or potential disabled player exception from Klay Thompson’s injury, per Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

After going undrafted out of Old Dominion in 2012, Bazemore started his professional career with the Warriors, averaging 2.1 points on 37.1% shooting from the field in 5.1 minutes per game in 105 total appearances. Following his time in the Bay Area coming to an end, Bazemore had stints with the Los Angeles Lakers, Atlanta Hawks, Portland Trail Blazers and Sacramento Kings.
Bazemore spent five of his eight-year career in Atlanta, averaging 10.4 points on 41.9% shooting from the field with 3.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
In 2019-20, Bazemore shot 34.4% from beyond the arc on 3.6 attempts per contest.
After waiving reserve point guard Ky Bowman, Bazemore will be apart of Golden State’s restructured backcourt behind Steph Curry that features Wanamaker, Jordan Poole, Damion Lee and Mychal Mulder.
