With the upcoming documentary about Michael Jordan premiering this Sunday on ESPN, talk about the Chicago Bulls of the 1980s and 1990s has dominated much of the talk around sports as the public anxiously awaits the 10-part documentary that was created from a reported 10,000 hours of exclusive footage following around Jordan and his final season with the Bulls in 1997-98. But long before “The Last Dance,” Jordan had to get through the Detroit Pistons. And at least one member of those legendary Pistons teams that Jordan had to go through several times believes that he didn’t play against the best player of All-Time.
Pistons legend and current Las Vegas Aces head coach Bill Laimbeer told ESPN’s First Take on Tuesday that he “firmly” believes LeBron James, not Michael Jordan, is the greatest player of All-Time, due to his ability to make players better from the moment he entered the league.

There is definitely an argument to be made for LeBron. Winning a championship in Cleveland for the first time in 52 years and the sheer volume of All-NBA caliber seasons are definitely things in his favor. Obviously, Jordan and his 6-0 NBA Finals record, as well as the legend he has among players is something that matters as well. It’s all truly a matter of what you prefer.
