Rickie Fowler and wife Allison expecting baby in November

The former top-10 player has seen improvements in his game, and he and wife Allison announced life is even better with a baby on the way.

Rickie Fowler has seen an uptick in his golf game with three top-20 finishes on the PGA Tour in recent events, including finishing tied for eighth at the PGA Championship at Kiawah Island Golf Resort.

He announced Monday on Instagram that life is getting better off the course, as well. Fowler and his wife, Allison, are expecting a baby girl to be born in November. Fowler married Allison Stokke, a former track and field athlete, in October of 2019.

The 32-year-old Fowler made the announcement with the line “Reservation for November … Fowler party of three” with the hashtag #girldad.

After being in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking for years, Fowler has dropped as far as No. 122 earlier this year. But private matches with Michael Jordan have boosted his game, Fowler said recently, and his play has improved. He is back to No. 91 with his sights on continued improvement.

Congrats to the expecting couple.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes explains which teammate he’d choose to be a babysitter

Travis Kelce won’t be babysitting for parents-to-be, Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews, anytime soon.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and his fiancee, Brittany Matthews, recently announced that they’re expecting their first child.

While the mother-to-be might have something else to say about it, Mahomes has already given some thought to the teammates that he would and wouldn’t consider for a babysitter.

“I would say like Matt Moore or someone like that, that’s responsible,” Mahomes said. “I can’t let Trav (Travis Kelce) or anybody like that do it, I mean we never know what would happen.”

While Moore might be the responsible one for babysitting, Kelce could certainly teach the kid some dance moves. He might be better off leaving the kiddo with someone like Gehrig Dieter, who is raising a young Chiefs fan of his own.

Needless to say, Mahomes is excited to get his family started in Kansas City.

Yeah, I mean it’s extremely exciting,” Mahomes said. “I mean being able to kind of grow up and have these dreams of having a family and playing in the NFL. For that stuff to start happening and really coming into truth and everything like that, I mean it’s really cool. I’m just excited that I have a lot of great people around me, and I’m in a great organization and I’m able to live out these dreams day by day.”

Mahomes’ child might grow up in the Kansas City locker room learning the same types of lessons that Mahomes did growing up in MLB clubhouses with his father. It’s certainly an exciting time for Mahomes and his growing family.

Brittany Lincicome tickles baby Emery before making the turn in Arkansas

Lincicome got a quick mommy moment in with her now one-year-old daughter Emery at Pinnacle Country Club, just north of Fayetteville.

Brittany Lincicome got a little extra inspiration at the turn during Friday’s opening round of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, presented by P&G.

After an even 36 on the front, Lincicome got a quick mommy moment in with her now one-year-old daughter Emery at Pinnacle Country Club, just north of Fayetteville.

She stopped and tickled Emery, who was waiting between holes with caretakers. The move worked as Lincicome went out and finished with a 1-under par 35 on the back nine. A trio is in the lead at 7 under.

For those who don’t recall, Lincicome gave birth to Emery Reign Gouws on July 8, 2019 in Rockford, Illinois, exactly eight weeks before she was due. She weighed 4 pounds, 11 ounces.

“When she came out, she looked perfect and she was screaming,” said Lincicome of the birth. Emery was only on oxygen for one day.

The coronavirus break gave Lincicome, who will celebrate her 35th birthday next month, the gift of added time with her first-born.

To save money, and perhaps kill time, Lincicome and her sister-in-law, Bianka, started making baby food at home, everything from pears to squash.
