The 5 best Baby Yoda memes and moments from ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2, episode 2

The Child continues to be the best.

WARNING: THERE ARE THE MANDALORIAN SEASON 2 SPOILERS AHEAD!

Welcome to our second edition of this post, which we’re going to do every week after each episode of The Mandaorian. It’s really the most important stuff from those chapters: the Baby Yoda moments and memes that sprout out of The Child appearing on the Disney+ series.

If you didn’t get enough Baby Yoda in episode one of the second season (although you got the kid going “WHEEEEE” in a speeder bike!), fear not: there was A LOT more of The Child in Chapter 10: “The Passenger.”

Here’s what we saw when the episode dropped on Friday:

He ran to Mando

DAWWWWWWWWWWWW!

The Child loves eggs

Um, yeah, can you stop eating the eggs? If you eat ’em all, an entire species is done for.

But he has another meal!

It’s nap time

“NO!”

I’m separating this one from the egg eating. This is just a spectacular moment.

The 4 best Baby Yoda memes and moments from ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2, episode 1

The Child is back!

WARNING: THERE ARE THE MANDALORIAN SEASON 2 SPOILERS AHEAD!

Welcome to our first edition of this post, which we’re going to do every week after each episode of The Mandaorian. It’s really the most important stuff from those chapters: the Baby Yoda moments and memes that sprout out of The Child appearing on the Disney+ series.

We saw some cute and funny moments from the premiere, Chapter 9: “The Marshal,” in which our hero travels back to Tatooine to seek out a fellow Mandalorian who turns out not to be one.

Baby Yoda didn’t have a ton of big moments, but we got our fill. Here’s what we saw:

Baby Yoda loves speeder bikes

WHEEEEEEEEEEE!

Baby Yoda in a sack

Baby Yoda in a jug

When there was an earthquake that turned out to be a Krayt dragon rumbling through town, Baby Yoda hid.

Baby Yoda closes his pod

This was already a meme thanks to the trailer.

The best Baby Yoda memes from ‘The Mandalorian’ season 1

Time to get ready for Season 2!

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD! DO NOT READ FURTHER IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCH SEASON 1 OF THE MANDALORIAN!

The Mandalorian is a fun thrill ride for Star Wars fans starring a totally awesome bounty hunter that gave us a terrific first season.

But really: the biggest star of the series by far was Baby Yoda, also known as The Child, who has become a superstar, and rightfully so!

He’s adorable! He brings some comic relief! He can use the Force!

And of course, the most important thing are the memes. Thanks to li’l Yoda, there were soooo many memes that we’re still all using, and there are sure to be more when the Season 2 premiere drops on Friday.

So let’s look back at some of the best from Season 1:

1. Baby Yoda plays the radio

This comes from Chapter 4: Sanctuary, and it’s a hoot: people putting music to the moment in which the little one presses buttons on Mando’s ship.

Here’s the original moment:

And the memes:

2. Baby Yoda takes a sip

Also from Chapter 4, he’s just sipping and watching Cara Dune and Mando fight.

3. Baby Yoda looks up

I’m not sure which ep this is from, but we’ve seen this look a lot:

4. WHEEEEEE!

From the final chapter of Season 1, this is how I too would react if I was on a speeder bike.

5. Sleepy Baby Yoda

Actually, it’s Baby Yoda using the Force to protect Mando in Chapter 2, stopping a creature from killing his new friend. But it totally looks like he’s very sleepy.

6. Baby Yoda as athletes and sports fans

7. “Boomer, OK”

Got to love Baby Yoda talking to real Yoda.

6 questions about ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2

The Star Wars franchise series is back and we have questions.

‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2 trailer already produced a new Baby Yoda meme

Of course.

The Mandalorian has blessed us with so many good Baby Yoda memes — remember the pressing the buttons one? That was so good.

Season 2 hasn’t dropped yet — it will next month — but the trailer did … and we already have our first Baby Yoda meme of the season.

In the trailer, we see “the child” in its little floating pod, when the little one sees trouble is afoot, so it presses a button and WOOSH — he closes himself inside to keep safe (although, as we know, Baby Yoda has some extremely potent powers to defeat enemies).

Of course, this quickly became a meme.

Here’s the GIF:

And the memes!

There will definitely be more where this came from. This is the way.

Baby Yoda is finally coming back to us in a new season of ‘The Mandalorian’

Baby Yoda BYKE.

It has been so long. It feels like we’ve waited an eternity just to get to this announcement.

But it is here. It is happening. “The Mandalorian,” a Disney+ original Star Wars series, is finally set to return on October 30. And you know what that means. That’s right. BABY YODA IS BACK.

The Mandalorian is an amazing show. But it is absolutely nothing without Baby Yoda — who, by the way, is absolutely a baby and Yoda. Mando, our Mandalorian mercenary pal, is cool and all. But, really, he’s just a side character who takes care of the real hero which is clearly Baby Yoda.

Not only does this mean a return to the screen for our tiny green friend, but it also means more meme fodder for the No Context Baby Yoda twitter account. That’s important!

The internet was so excited to see Baby Yoda return.

This is a momentous occasion for the internet. We all deserve it after the year we’ve been through.

Seattle Seahawks’ Twitter account jumps up to No. 10 in 2020 rankings

Complex Sports recently ranked the Twitter accounts of all 32 NFL teams and the Seattle Seahawks landed at No. 10 in 2020.

The NFL has embraced social media, using Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other platforms to reach fans around the world.

The website Complex recently took a look at the Twitter accounts from all 32 teams, ranking the digital marketing efforts from best to worst.

Seattle landed at No. 10 overall.

“The Seahawks are a big climber this year, escalating 14 spots in our rankings,” Complex notes. “This franchise has been consistently great on the field—no matter what he’s working with, Russell Wilson always pulls off some magic—and the accompanying Twitter content is starting to fit the bill. A baby Yoda outfitted like Russ? Come on now. That’s top-shelf, guys.”

“One other thing we like: the Seahawks are behind the city as a whole and promote the other franchises, like the Seattle Sounders,” Complex continues. “They also produce captivating artwork and support important causes like Black History Month.”

The Ravens earned the top spot this year, up from No. 22 in 2019.

Babu Frik is ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ breakout star, but he’s no Baby Yoda

There’s no comparison.

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD FOR BOTH THE RISE OF SKYWALKER AND THE MANDALORIAN!

Friends, Romans, countrymen, Porgs, Wookiees … we all know the big star of The Rise of Skywalker isn’t Rey or Kylo or even Force Ghost Luke.

It’s Babu Frik.

He’s a teeny little Anzellan with oversized hands who’s a “droidsmith” working on Kijimi (thanks, Wookieepedia) who steals the scenes he’s in and has a key role in the final movie of the Skywalker Saga (and again, SPOILER ALERT): he’s asked to reprogram C-3PO in order to get the droid to translate the ancient inscription written on a dagger that will lead Rey and Co. to a Sith Wayfinder (C-3PO was programmed not to interpret Sith text).

Babu Frik is tiny and old and he occasionally speaks broken English, but then he does stuff that is undoubtedly going to turn into a meme:

He’s great, he brings some levity to the film and he follows in the Star Wars canon of cute things.

But he is no Baby Yoda. C’mon.

The wonderful thing about Baby Yoda is the mystery surrounding “The Child.” He might be a Yoda offspring, he might be a clone and he’s got enough power over the Force to choke a full-grown adult. The fact that he doesn’t really speak is just another reason to love him.

And, darn it, he’s a baby for crying out loud.

So for anyone comparing the two, don’t. Can we say Babu cracks the Top 5 of cutest Star Wars things? Absolutely. Beyond that? No.

While you contemplate this silly argument, here are some Twitter takes:

Here’s the only College GameDay sign that matters from LSU-Georgia

BABY YODA FOR HEISMAN!

The College GameDay crew is in Atlanta on Saturday for the SEC Championship game between No. 2 LSU and No. 4 Georgia, but one of the smallest crowds of the season showed up to the set outside Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and the typical sea of GameDay signs was reduced significantly.

We usually celebrate a collection of the best GameDay signs each Saturday on FTW, but with so few to choose from, one sign stood out from the rest.

This fan has spoken. Make it happen, Heisman voters.
