Vols’ new coaching staff makes first offer

Tennessee Vols’ football recruiting news.

Josh Heupel was introduced as Tennessee’s football head coach on Wednesday.

Heupel and his coaching staff have issued their first scholarship offer to a prospect.

Tennessee offered offensive lineman Austin Uke on Thursday.

“I’m excited to announce I’ve been offered a full scholarship to play football at Tennessee,” Uke said on Twitter.

The 6-foot-4, 265-pound offensive lineman also thanked Glen Elarbee.

Elarbee served as offensive line coach for Heupel at UCF. Tennessee has not officially announced the hiring of Elarbee to Heupel’s staff for the Vols.

Elarbee also served as offensive line coach at Missouri from 2016-17, while Heupel was offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Tigers.

Uke is a 2021 prospect and is from Parish Episcopal School in Dallas, Texas.
