Georgia RB James Cook runs to locker room with apparent hand/wrist injury

Georgia football RB James Cook left for the locker room with an injury during the UGA vs Auburn game.

James Cook is having one of the best games we’ve seen from the junior running back.

Through one quarter and some change, Cook has 5 carries for 41 yards.

However, following a 16 yard run, Cook entered the locker room with what looked like an apparent wrist or hand injury.

It did not look like anything too severe as he was moving fine and did so under his own power.

We will keep you updated as we hear more.

Georgia vs Auburn: UGA has a new starting QB after last week

Stetson Bennett will start for UGA football during Georgia vs Auburn.

With USC transfer and former 5-star JT Daniels being cleared this week from an ACL tear, the chatter picked up as to who would start at quarterback for Georgia in week two of SEC action.

After not starting last week but taking over for the struggling D’Wan Mathis, Stetson Bennett came out as the starter for Georgia Saturday night vs Auburn.

Bennett, also known as ‘The Mailman’, put together a nice game last weekend vs Arkansas, going 20/29 for 211 yards and two touchdowns. Mathis, who went 8/17 for 55 yards, one interception and no touchdowns, was pulled five minutes into the second quarter.

Bennett led Georgia back from a 7-2 deficit and the Dawgs took down the Razorbacks 37-10.

Bennett will have a much tougher task this week going up against an elite Auburn defense.
