Auburn football: Practice canceled for second day in row

The Tigers hope to return to the practice field on Friday.

COVID-19 has seemingly hit the Auburn football program again.

For the second straight day, the Tigers canceled practice as, per 247Sports, “a source close to the program said ‘several’ players were positive in the last round of COVID-19 tests.”

While the number of players that have tested positive for the virus hasn’t been released, it is no surprise as students returned to campus recently. As of right now, the Tigers plan on returning to the practice field on Friday.

Auburn opens the season on Sept. 26 against Kentucky in Jordan-Hare Stadium.
