Former West Virginia starting cornerback Dreshun Miller entered the NCAA transfer portal following his junior season with the Mountaineers. Now, Miller is transferring to the Auburn Tigers.

Miller recorded 31 tackles, eight pass deflections, and one interception last season at West Virginia.

Miller was linked to the University of Georgia. The Georgia Bulldogs need cornerback help this season and recently hired former West Virginia defensive backs coach Jahmile Addae to same position. Additionally, Miller was born in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Dreshun Miller spent his first two college football seasons at Eastern Arizona College (2017-2018). Miller then transferred to West Virginia, where he suffered a knee injury that forced him to redshirt during the 2019 season.

UCF hires former Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn

The UCF Knights are hiring Gus Malzahn to be their football coach. Malzahn previously coached at Auburn

The UCF Knights are hiring Gus Malzahn to be their football coach. Malzahn previously coached at Auburn. The Auburn Tigers fired Gus Malzahn following their regular season finale against Mississippi State.

The Auburn Tigers went on the replace Gus Malzahn with former Boise State head coach Bryan Harsin.

Overall, Auburn went 6-5 last season, but didn’t get any big-time wins. Malzahn coached at Auburn for eight seasons and amassed a 68-35 record for the Tigers. He helped the Tigers make the 2013 national championship, where they fell to the Florida State Seminoles in a last-minute defeat.

Now, Malzahn will look to keep UCF’s momentum going in football. The Knights are replacing former head coach Josh Heupel and athletic director Danny White. Both Heupel and White left to fill the head coaching and athletic director vacancy at the University of Tennessee.

Gus Malzahn’s offense is an excellent fit for the UCF Knights. UCF has run a face paced offense in the past and that’s not going to change under Malzahn. The former Auburn coach is no stranger to the underdog role and will be a good hire for the Knights.

Gus Malzahn will rejoin new UCF athletics director Terry Mohajir, who worked alongside Malzahn at Arkansas State.

Auburn hires former Georgia OC Mike Bobo

The Auburn Tigers have hired former Georgia and South Carolina offensive coordinator Mike Bobo to be their offensive coordinator

The Auburn Tigers have hired former Georgia and South Carolina offensive coordinator Mike Bobo to be their offensive coordinator. Auburn fired head coach Gus Malzahn earlier this offseason and is looking for more consistency.

Mike Bobo served as interim coach at South Carolina after the Gamecocks fired Will Muschamp this season. Auburn head coach Bryan Harsin liked the job Mike Bobo did at South Carolina enough to hire him as offensive coordinator. Now, the duo will try to revive quarterback Bo Nix’s career.

Mike Bobo is bringing Will Friend with him to be the offensive line coach at Auburn. Before coaching at South Carolina, Bobo spent 2015-2019 coaching the Colorado State Rams. Before then, he had a lengthy stint in Athens as both the Georgia Bulldogs’ quarterback coach (2001-2006) and offensive coordinator (2007-2014).

Bobo has spent a lot of time around the SEC as both a coach and a player. He played at the University of Georgia as a quarterback in the 1990s and knows the conference inside and out.

Additionally, Auburn is hiring former Vanderbilt coach Derek Mason as defensive coordinator. It will be interesting to see how Auburn’s staff prepares players for the 2021 season. The Tigers have struggled against Georgia and Alabama in recent seasons and are looking to reverse that trend.
