San Antonio Brahmas at Arlington Renegades odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s San Antonio Brahmas at Arlington Renegades Week 6 odds and lines, with expert XFL picks, predictions and best bets.

In Week 6 of the XFL season, The San Antonio Brahmas (1-4) are on the road to face the Arlington Renegades (3-2). Sunday’s kickoff is at 3 p.m. ET at Choctaw Stadium (ABC). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Brahmas vs. Renegades odds, and make our expert XFL picks, predictions and bets.

The teams met last week in San Antonio, with the Renegades winning 12-10 as Arlington picked off 3 passes and scored their lone TD on a 1-yard De’Veon Smith run with 1:12 left in the third quarter. It was the last points of the game and gave the Renegades the win.

The Brahmas have lost 3 games in a row.

Brahmas at Renegades picks and predictions

Prediction

Renegades 15, Brahmas 11

Moneyline

The Renegades are 2-0 at home and they beat the Brahmas last week on the road. However, they have not scored more than 14 points in a game since their season opener.

The Brahmas have lost 3 straight games and have not scored more than 13 points in that streak. But the value is better on the spread, so PASS on the moneyline.

Against the spread

While I like the Renegades to win, there is still some action worth your time on the spread. The Renegades have not won a game by more than 2 points this season. Only once have the Brahmas lost by fewer than 3 points and that was last week at home in their loss to Arlington.

The Brahmas are down a quarterback and their backup is hobbled.

BET RENEGADES -3 (-105).

Over/Under

The Renegades have not scored more than 14 points since the opener and the Brahmas have scored more than 15 points only once. Their matchup last week had only 22 points.

BET UNDER 32.5 (-105).

Arlington Renegades at St. Louis Battlehawks odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Arlington Renegades at St. Louis Battlehawks odds and lines, with expert XFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Arlington Renegades (2-1) and the St. Louis Battlehawks (2-1) meet Sunday at The Dome at America’s Center. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET (ESPN2/ESPN+). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Renegades vs. Battlehawks odds, and make our expert XFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Renegades are expected to turn to QB Kyle Sloter for his 2nd consecutive start. Although Arlington has a winning record, it has struggled a bit and both wins are against winless teams (Vegas and Orlando). And those 2 wins are by a combined 3 points, so pump the brakes a little on Arlington’s expectations.

Arlington also has a 2.5 rushing yards per attempt average, easily the lowest in the XFL. On the flip side, the Renegades are very good against the run, but mediocre against the pass, and that’s bad news against St. Louis.

To make matters worse, Arlington’s secondary is banged up. It lost CB Josh Hawkins to a torn ACL, and he is the 3rd defensive back to land on the reserve list already this season.

The Battlehawks play their 1st home game of the season, and it should be a raucous crowd in St. Louis with more than 30,000 fans. QB AJ McCarron is 3rd in the XFL with 636 passing yards, 7 TD and 2 INT through 3 games.

Renegades at Battlehawks picks and predictions

Prediction

Battlehawks 29, Renegades 15

Moneyline

The Battlehawks (-190) are just a little too expensive for my liking, over my personal limit for a moneyline play, especially for the XFL.

PASS, and look to the spread instead.

Against the spread

The BATTLEHAWKS -4.5 (-105) might be my favorite play, not only of the XFL weekend, but of the entire season so far.

I think that the line is a little lower because the Renegades +4.5 (-115) have a winning overall. However, they barely won against Vegas and Orlando, the 2 worst teams in the league. Arlington might be the 6th-best team, but the line suggests otherwise.

Meanwhile, St. Louis is opening the upper deck at the dome, and you can expect a super raucous crowd. Toss in the fact the secondary is dinged up for Arlington, and the Battlehawks are a pass-happy team, and this one could get super ugly. I’d go 2 full units on St. Louis to cover.

Over/Under

OVER 36.5 (-110) is a concern, as Arlington has really had some difficulty making things happen on offense. However, St. Louis will do most of the heavy lifting here, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Battlehawks flirt with 30 points. It’s gonna be pass, pass, pass for St. Louis, taking advantage of the depleted secondary of Arlington.

Orlando Guardians at Arlington Renegades odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Orlando Guardians at Arlington Renegades Week 3 odds and lines, with expert XFL picks, predictions and best bets.

In Week 3 of the XFL season, the Orlando Guardians (0-2) are on the road Sunday to take on the Arlington Renegades (1-1). Kickoff at Choctaw Stadium is at 4 p.m. ET (FX). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Guardians vs. Renegades odds, and make our expert XFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Guardians scored an opening-drive TD last week, but had 13 penalties, missed a field goal and had a punt blocked in a 30-12 home loss to the San Antonio Brahmas as 3.5-point underdogs.

The Renegades had a 14-11 lead in the 2nd half against the Houston Roughnecks, but lost 23-14 on the road as 3.5-point underdogs.

Guardians at Renegades picks and predictions

Prediction

Renegades 20, Guardians 13

Moneyline

The Guardians have been blown out twice, scoring only 12 points in each game this season.

The Renegades are 1-0 at home and have only lost to the unbeaten Roughnecks.

Don’t expect the Guardians to be able to get an outright win, but the line doesn’t make any action on the Renegadees worth it.

PASS.

Against the spread

Neither team has covered the spread yet through 2 games, and the Guardians have lost both games by at least 18 points.

The Renegades’ only win was by 2 points so expecting them to win by more than a TD might be too much.

BET GUARDIANS +7.5 (-108).

Over/Under

Both of Orlando’s games this season have had more than 37 points. The Renegades’ season opener had 42 points and last week’s loss had only 37.

The Guardians have not scored more than 12 points in a game this season.

BET UNDER 37.5 (-120).

Arlington Renegades at Houston Roughnecks odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Arlington Renegades at Houston Roughnecks odds and lines, with expert XFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Arlington Renegades (1-0) and the Houston Roughbecks (1-0) meet Sunday in a Week 2 matchup at TDECU Stadium in Houston  (ESPN2/ESPN+). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Renegades vs. Roughnecks odds, and make our expert XFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Renegades held on for a thrilling 22-20 win over the Vegas Vipers last week, although Arlington and its backers were the victims of a late backdoor cover as the Over cashed. Arlington has the ability to move the ball with former NFL RB Keith Ford, as well as De’Veon Smith.

The Roughnecks blew out the Orlando Guardians by a 33-12 count, easily the most lopsided game in Week 1. In fact, all of the other games were decided by 4 points or less.

Houston QB Brandon Silvers was sharp, throwing for 272 yards and a pair of TDs, while WR Deontay Burnett had 90 receiving yards and a score. Former Washington State standout RB Max Borghi showed his versatility with 42 rushing yards and 32 receiving yards.

Renegades at Roughnecks picks and predictions

Prediction

Roughnecks 23, Renegades 20

Money line

The Roughnecks (-240) should get a much better test this week than they did in Week 1 against a disheveled Guardians side.

The Renegades (+190) were impressive at times on offense in Week 1, coming back from a 14-3 deficit to win 22-20, and Arlington rode its defense in the 2nd half.

PASS.

Against the spread

The RENEGADES +4.5 (+100) are an intriguing play catching 4 and a hook AND it’s plus-money.

While the Roughnecks -4.5 (-120) will be a popular play based on their Week 1 stomping of the Guardians, it’s a small sample size. Don’t put too much stock into 1 game. In 4 of the 1st 5 games in the XFL so far, the margin of victory has been 4 or fewer points.

Over/Under

The OVER 39.5 (-120) is the lean. We saw the Over cash in 3 of the first 4 games in Week 1, including for both of these teams. And we saw the Over hit in the Week 2 opener in Seattle on Thursday night. Look for a total into the 40s here, too.
