Alabama LB target Arion Carter decommits from Memphis

Alabama has been in pursuit of Arion Carter since offering him in September. He announced his de-commitment from Memphis on Wednesday.

Alabama extended an offer to 2023 linebacker Arion Carter back in September. At the time, he was committed to Memphis to play running back. After transitioning to play linebacker, many power-five programs took notice. Several of the schools that took notice and offered him scholarships were USC, Ohio State, Auburn, and Tennessee.

Carter has scheduled official visits to Tennessee (Dec. 2), Auburn (Nov. 19), and Alabama (Dec. 9). Currently, Alabama is the favorite to land Carter at 96.6%, according to On3’s RPM.

The expectation has been that Carter would flip his commitment to Alabama for quite a while. We will continue to monitor his recruitment and provide you with the latest.

Alabama recruiting target cancels visit to Tennessee this weekend

2023 LB Arion Carter was scheduled to visit Tennessee this weekend but has canceled his visit.

Alabama’s coaching staff has been in pursuit of 2023 linebacker Arion Carter ever since they extended an offer. Carter is currently committed to Memphis but is entertaining other programs including the Crimson Tide.

According to On3’s Chad Simmons, Carter will not be visiting Tennessee this weekend for the Vols’ matchup against Kentucky. That comes just days after the Tennessee native received a crystal ball prediction in favor of Alabama. If that is any indication for the future, it could be a good one for the Crimson Tide.

Carter has already made two trips to Tuscaloosa. He is also scheduled to be in town for the Iron Bowl. He will take official visits to Ohio State (Nov. 12) and Michigan (Nov. 19). The month of November will likely determine where Carter will land. Alabama has the last visit, so that is certainly a good sign.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Carter’s recruitment as well as other Alabama football recruiting news.

Alabama extends an offer to 2023 prospect and Memphis commit Arion Carter

On Saturday, the Alabama coaching staff extended an offer to 2023 ATH Arion Carter. He is currently committed to Memphis.

Alabama has extended its latest offer to 2023 prospect, Arion Carter. Carter has been committed to Memphis since July. He was recently in Tuscaloosa this past weekend on a visit.

Carter is being recruited to play linebacker at Alabama. However, he is listed as an athlete by multiple recruiting sites. The Crimson Tide currently has 21 hard commits for the 2023 recruiting class. The Tide’s coaching staff rarely extends offers to prospects during their senior season. However, it has panned before with former Alabama running back Josh Jacobs who received his offer on National Signing Day.

The Tennessee native has begun to pick up offers from several other notable programs like USC, Auburn, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest. It will be interesting to see if Carter sticks with his commitment to Memphis or decided to re-open his recruitment.

Roll Tide Wire will now take a look at Arion Carter’s recruiting profile.
