Inter Miami vs. Houston Dynamo: How to watch U.S. Open Cup final

The status of Lionel Messi is the biggest question mark heading into Wednesday’s game

Inter Miami is set for its next opportunity at silverware since the arrival of the team’s vaunted Barcelona trio, headlined by Lionel Messi.

Miami hosts the Houston Dynamo in the U.S. Open Cup final on Wednesday. The Herons are looking to complete a double after taking home the Leagues Cup shortly after Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba arrived at the club.

But in a blow for Miami, Messi is a game-time decision while Alba is likely out. Both left Miami’s 4-0 win over Toronto FC before halftime in an MLS game last week.

[afflinkbutton text=”Watch Messi and Inter Miami on Paramount+” link=”https://paramountplus.qflm.net/ZQmvrg”]

Even so, Miami has the might to hang without their stars. The Florida Derby against Orlando City SC saw Inter squeak out a 1-1 draw over the weekend. Miami has also won six of its last seven games at home.

And that’s not to say there isn’t the possibility of Messi coming off the bench. That could be a realistic option against Houston.

The Dynamo, headlined by Mexico international Héctor Herrera in the midfield, did fall over the weekend to Sporting Kansas City, but that ended a streak of seven unbeaten. That’s a good run of form for a club looking for its first trophy since 2018 (U.S. Open Cup).

Here is everything you need to know to catch all the final action:

Inter Miami vs. Houston Dynamo (U.S. Open Cup)

Inter Miami vs. Toronto FC: How to watch as Messi could make return

Will Messi return to action for Inter Miami’s match against Toronto FC on Wednesday?

Can’t win ’em all — at least, not when Lionel Messi is missing from the lineup.

Atlanta United handed Inter Miami its first defeat in all competitions since Messi’s arrival over the weekend via a 5-2 result.

Miami will look to get back to winning ways against Toronto FC in a midweek clash on Wednesday. Since the arrival of Messi in July (in addition to Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba shortly after), Inter had gone unbeaten in 12 matches.

However, Messi and Alba ended up not playing in Atlanta, with head coach Tata Martino saying both missed the match due to “muscular fatigue.”

[afflinkbutton text=”Watch Inter Miami vs. Toronto FC on Apple TV” link=”https://apple.co/3Ltdxha”]

With the loss, the Herons dropped to nine points behind ninth-place D.C. United in the race for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Toronto is a fantastic opportunity at a rebound, though, as the only team below Miami in the Eastern Conference standings. Going into the game, the status of Messi and Alba is still in doubt.

Inter Miami vs. Toronto FC (Major League Soccer)

How to watch Argentina vs. Bolivia: CONMEBOL 2026 World Cup qualifier TV and streaming

How to catch Argentina in action against Bolivia in World Cup qualifying

Argentina will continue its march to defend its World Cup title when it travels to face Bolivia in a 2026 qualifier in the altitude of La Paz.

Bolivia will be an especially motivated opponent. With an expanded 48-team field, La Verde have plenty of reason to believe they can crack the World Cup for the first time since 1994.

But there is no doubting the fact that Argentina will be a tough test for Bolivia, which opened up qualifying with a 5-1 loss to Brazil last week.

Of course, the name on everyone’s mind has had an impact already for Argentina in qualifying: Lionel Messi.

[afflinkbutton text=”Watch Argentina vs. Bolivia” link=”https://fanatiz.jbbfvx.net/21VrMz”]

The Argentines won their first qualifier 1-0 over Ecuador, with Messi’s curling free kick in the second half the difference.

Messi’s status for the match against Bolivia is unclear. He was removed from the match against Ecuador due to fatigue, but head coach Lionel Scaloni said after the game that the superstar “felt something” and would need to undergo tests.

But Messi is only the tip of the iceberg for Bolivia. Can the underdogs also handle the likes of Angel Di Maria, Enzo Fernández, Lautaro Martínez and more?

Here’s everything you need to know to catch the action:

Argentina defender Pezzella subscribed to MLS Season Pass to watch Messi

The Apple TV service is seeing a huge jump in subscribers, including some of Messi’s Argentina teammates

Argentina defender Germán Pezzella said he’s signed up for MLS Season Pass in order to follow Lionel Messi’s progress with Inter Miami.

Messi has been a major success since his move to the United States, leading Inter Miami on an 11-game unbeaten run and scoring 11 goals in the process.

The Argentina legend has made a major impact off the field as well, with Inter Miami owner Jorge Mas saying last month that subscriptions to Season Pass on Apple TV had more than doubled after Messi’s move to MLS in July.

One of those subscribers appears to be Pezzella, who was Messi’s teammate on Argentina’s World Cup-winning side last year and is now back with the national team alongside the Inter Miami star for World Cup qualifiers.

Asked if he was watching Messi in MLS, Pezzella told reporters: “Yes, I had to sign up for the subscription because I didn’t have it.”

Pezzella added: “It motivates you because you see everything he has achieved and he continues with the same hunger and desire to compete, wherever he is, in the national team, his previous club, or now in the United States. He always wants more. We have to learn from what he shows, not only with the ball at his feet, but on and off the field.”

MLS and Apple signed a 10-year, $2.5 billion media rights deal last year which saw the technology giant acquire the rights to every game in English and Spanish on its Season Pass subscription service.

In a boost for the partners and for Pezzella, who plays in Spain with Real Betis, there are no geographic restrictions on any of the matches.

How to watch Lionel Messi and Inter Miami vs. Nashville SC

Is there more Messi magic to come in another MLS outing?

In his first-ever Major League Soccer action, Lionel Messi scored and Inter Miami won.

Try not to act too shocked.

Messi brought excellent form to begin his North American career in cup competition, leading Inter Miami to a Leagues Cup title and then to an Open Cup semifinal victory over FC Cincinnati.

Saturday’s matchup with the New York Red Bulls was the first MLS match for Inter Miami since the arrivals of Messi and his former Barcelona teammates Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.

Amid a crowded set of fixtures, Messi and Busquets were rested in New York while Alba started the game.

However, Messi and Busquets entered the contest (along with United States international DeAndre Yedlin) with 30 minutes remaining — and yes, as noted, Messi still scored as a substitute.

[afflinkbutton text=”Watch Messi and Inter Miami on Apple TV” link=”https://apple.co/3sxjdAd”]

The 2-0 win over the Red Bulls pulled Inter off the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings.

Still unbeaten since the arrival of Messi, next up is a team with revenge on their mind.

Miami hosts Nashville SC, the same side Inter defeated in the Leagues Cup final. It took a long shootout, which indicates a close fight could be on the docket for MLS fans.

With 21 points (14th place), Inter still sits 11 points back from a playoff spot. Meanwhile, Nashville will want to add to their 38 points which sees them positioned seventh in the table.

Here is everything you need to know to catch all the action:

How to watch Inter Miami vs. New York Red Bulls: Messi set for MLS debut

Messi, along with Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, are finally set to make their MLS debuts

Lionel Messi has long since arrived in North America, but he’s only played in cup competitions thus far with Inter Miami. That all changes on Saturday.

Messi, along with former Barcelona teammates Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, are all set to make their MLS debuts with an away game against the New York Red Bulls. The trio already won the Leagues Cup and will have the U.S. Open Cup final next month.

Until then, it’s all about league play which begins with the game at Red Bull Arena.

[afflinkbutton text=”Watch Messi and Inter Miami vs New York Red Bulls” link=”https://apple.co/3EaURhY”]

MLS play will be a much different challenge for Messi and Co. As impressive as the Argentine has been, it would be a sensational achievement if Inter Miami makes the MLS playoffs. Inter sits in the bottom of the Eastern Conference and are 14 points from a postseason position with 11 games to go.

But as Messi has reminded us: It’s never wise to count him out. Here is everything you need to know to catch all the action:

Inter Miami vs. Nashville SC: How to watch Messi in Leagues Cup final

Can Messi pull it off in the final?

Lionel Messi and Inter Miami’s magical Leagues Cup run has reached its final turn. Can he mark the occasion once again?

Messi, joined by former Barcelona-turned-Miami teammates Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, have reached the Leagues Cup final. Awaiting Miami is Nashville SC.

Since the trio’s arrival, Inter Miami has become a powerhouse. The team scored 22 times in 22 MLS matches prior to Messi joining. They have 21 in Messi’s six games played thus far, with the Argentine legend scoring nine himself.
