Patriots: Antonio Brown has yet another social media meltdown

Antonio Brown said he doesn’t want to return to the NFL. His actions are making that clear.

Former New England Patriots receiver Antonio Brown went back to burning the NFL and NFLPA, among others, on Twitter on Wednesday.

Just one week ago, Brown issued an apology to just about everyone with a statement on social media. He seems to be walking back that apology on Wednesday. His first and most dramatic post was a photoshopped image of him dying in a gladiator ring while wearing a Patriots uniform. Agent Drew Rosenhaus and NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith watched from the stands, and it seems the media is the entity that stabbed him.

He wrote on the Instagram post: “The owners sent the hit to the media ; media carried it out; as The agent and nflpa witness me go down no help no protection full take down on us every time !”

Here’s a look at the photo, which has since been deleted.

He then continued his social media tirade with responses to followers.

Brown is facing allegations of rape and sexual assault. He spent 11 days with the Patriots, and the allegations — and ensuing civil suit — became public in his second day with the team.

Antonio Brown lashes out against the NFL in Twitter rant, calls Ben Roethlisberger a ‘loser’

Here we go again.

Free agent receiver Antonio Brown appeared in just one game this season before the Patriots released him amid a civil suit alleging sexual assault.

In the months since his release, Brown has sent mixed signals about his desire to return to the NFL. He went from mocking Robert Kraft’s solicitation arrest to apologizing, to criticizing the NFL before later apologizing again.

We’re back, once again, to Brown taking aim at the league and his former Steelers teammate Ben Roethlisberger.

On Wednesday, Brown lashed out against the NFL in a series of tweets. He retweeted several tweets that mentioned Roethlisberger’s past sexual assault allegations. When a fan said that Brown depended on Roethlisberger to make his career, the free agent receiver called Roethlisberger a “loser.”

He tweeted (before deleting) this image, claiming a conspiracy against him carried out by NFL owners and the media.

The rant continued throughout the day:

This all came four days after Brown issued a long apology on Instagram.

First and foremost, I’d like to apologize to my family, friends and anyone who I offended. I never once meant to make anyone feel like I wasn’t thankful and appreciative of the opportunity that I was afforded to play the game I love. I’ve worked hard over the years to earn a chance to compete in the greatest game on earth. Over the years I was met with challenges and I can honestly say I didn’t handle those challenges in the manner that I should have. Over the past few weeks I’ve had the opportunity to think about everything that’s transpired and I am deeply sorry to all who I’ve offended. While my behavior was inexcusable, sometimes when people are coming at you with false information and allegations, we handle ourselves in ways that we sometimes regret. I do take full responsibility for my actions and I’m working everyday to repair what I broke. I do know that if I’m ever given the opportunity to play the game that I love, I’m going to work extremely hard to show the world how much I appreciate another chance. To the organizations that I offended, I offer my sincere apology to you and my hope is that you forgive me and help me move on from this minor setback. I look forward to competing and helping a team reach their goals.

The best offensive player for each of the 32 NFL teams this decade

Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Peyton Manning lead the way, respectively, as the best offensive players on their teams in this decade.

As the 2010s decade comes to a close, examining the players who stood out for each of the 32 NFL teams. It could be something they did over time or did in a short burst that contributed to great success.

Arizona Cardinals: Larry Fitzgerald

Larry Fitzgerald is one of the classiest and top receivers of his generation. A leader, the Cardinals’ wide receiver had five 1,000-yard seasons in the decade.

Former Steeler Antonio Brown plays race card on NFL in latest Twitter tantrum

The former Steelers wr is at it again.

You can usually tell when things aren’t going well for former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown. It typically turns in some sort of Twitter tirade aimed at those he feel has wronged him.

His latest diatribe is aimed squarely at the NFL and he doesn’t hold back as he chose to play the race card in a big way.

It’s sort of sad to see the way Brown’s situation of his own creation forces him to spiral at times. Look for these tweets to be deleted and likely followed with something more professional and coherent likely generated by someone else.

Dwayne Haskins wants Antonio Brown to play with the Redskins

Haskins is making it known that he wants Antonio Brown to come join his squad in Washington.

The pass catchers in Washington DC have definitely taken a step forward over the last season after several years of underperformance from the position for the Redskins.

Thanks to a handful of rookies — Terry McLaurin, Kelvin Harmon, and Steven Sims Jr. — the future of the position is bright and there is at long last confidence that the Redksins might have a worthy pass catcher in house.

However, rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins still wants to add to the depth chart, and his goal seems to bring one of the best receivers the NFL to Washington.

Antonio Brown has been out of the league for most of the season after being released by the New England Patriots, but that doesn’t mean he can’t still ball. After a whirlwind of events has left him searching for a team less than a year removed from making waves with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Haskins is now urging his team to bring in the super start receiver.

Haskins and Brown have a history, as the two have spent some time together in the past working out in the offseason. There’s no question that the Redskins’ offense would benefit from the addition of Brown greatly, but it is up for question as to whether or not they would add him to the mix in Washington.

What Bill Belichick wouldn’t say in Week 14 in preparation for Chiefs

Answering the tough questions Bill Belichick wouldn’t answer.

Bill Belichick didn’t mind discussing Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill and the Kansas City Chiefs’ explosive offense. Though he failed to address the fact that they’re not that explosive in recent weeks.

The New England Patriots coach is preparing for an AFC Championship Game rematch with Kansas City. And as usual, he was ready to praise his opponent. He also discussed the strong work from his receivers Julian Edelman and Mohamed Sanu.

But just like every week, there were topics Belichick avoided as best he could. He dodged topics like the Patriots’ decision to go without a kicker this week. And he didn’t field a question about the Tom Brady drama or the Antonio Brown apology.

Here’s what Bill Belichick wouldn’t say in Week 14.

1. What’s going on with your kicker situation? Can you announce that you’re re-signing Nick Folk?

What he said Friday: “Nope.”

What we think he’s thinking: The Patriots have clearly expected all week that Nick Folk would be returning to the team. He was dealing with appendicitis and missed last week’s game. Perhaps the timeline for his return hit a snag, because they won’t be adding Folk on Saturday. But they will add Folk despite spending the week without a kicker, according to NFL Network. It would have been a truly Belichickian oddity for the Patriots head into one of the biggest matchups of the season without a kicker. He probably would’ve enjoyed the challenge.

Antonio Brown: Unemployed WR issues another apology on Instagram

Antonio Brown wants back in the NFL badly.

Shortly after being cut by the Patriots after he had sexual assault allegations levied against him, Brown tweeted that he’d never be playing in the NFL again.

Fast forward a few months later and Brown is still out of work and looking for a new job in the league. Brown is apologizing again for his behavior in his previous stints with the Raiders and Patriots and asking for a second chance at football.

He posted his latest apology on Instagram saying he “never once” meant to make anyone feel like he was ungrateful for the “opportunity to play the game I love.”

It’s not the first time he’s apologized either. He apologized to Robert Kraft and the Patriots organization on Twitter and Instagram in November and got a little love from Tom Brady for it.

These apologies seem to be falling upon deaf ears (or blind eyes?) because he’s still out of the league and it doesn’t seem like anyone feels sorry for him.  Only time will tell if that changes.

Former Steeler offers lengthy apology on Instagram

Does this apology by Antonio Brown change your feelings about the former Steeler?

When the Pittsburgh Steelers traded away wide receiver Antonio Brown, it was a move forced by Brown by some horrible decisions by him. Despite having a team that catered to him in almost every way, Brown chose to give up on his team, throw his former quarterback under the bus on multiple occasions and make himself impossible to keep.

It seems now after two more teams releasing Brown and him being unable to find work, someone in his camp has convinced him to apologize for his actions. Brown posted this apology with a pic of him in his Steelers’ uniform on Instagram on Friday. There’s no way Brown came up with this apology or wrote it but this is what desperate people do. Take it for what it’s worth.

Deion Sanders makes strange promise about Patriots’ WR situation

The New England Patriots are in a dire situation when it comes to their pass-catchers. Tom Brady looked desperate for help in the team’s loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football.

Brady finished with over 300 passing yards, but most of that production came in the fourth quarter when the Texans loosened coverage. (And perhaps they got too loose as New England narrowed the lead to a 28-22 finish which was much closer than the game felt.) But Brady’s issues seemed to stem from a lack of help, particularly at receiver.

Perhaps Hall of Fame cornerback and current NFL Network analyst Deion Sanders knows something we don’t.

“I guarantee it, something’s going to happen within the next few weeks in the receiver department,” Sanders said on “NFL Gameday” earlier this week. “They’ve got to get (Tom Brady) some help, because what I saw (Sunday) was ridiculous.”

Rob Gronkowski cannot return — the retired tight end elected to stay out of the league and missed the deadline to fill out the paperwork for a potential return in 2019.

There is really only one player who can help the Patriots. That’s receiver Antonio Brown. He spent 11 games with New England but faced allegations of sexual assault and accusations of sexual harassment. He also sent threatening text messages to his second accuser, according to Sports Illustrated. After all that transpired during his tenure with the Patriots, Bill Belichick cut him.

A reunion feels extremely unlikely, even with Sanders’ strange guarantee.
