Notre Dame misses on Texas linebacker who stays home

The Irish can’t win them all on the recruiting trail

Even though it seems like Notre Dame football can’t miss on the recruiting trail, it did on Monday.

Texas 2025 linebacker [autotag]Anthony Williams[/autotag] had an Irish hat on the table when he made the decision, but he decided to stay home and picked the Texas Longhorns. Notre Dame has the No. 1 class in that cycle on the 247Sports team composite, but it would have been nice to add a linebacker.

It is the only position on defense that doesn’t hold a current commit. Notre Dame now turns its focus to other players to fill that spot.
