Thursday night football moving to Amazon Prime a year early

Thursday night football moving to Amazon exclusively in 2022

The NFL had previously announced that Amazon prime had scored the rights to their Thursday night football package and per a Monday release from the league, that start time has been moved up a year to 2022.

Amazon will distribute Primetime’s second most-watched show across hundreds of compatible digital devices. The NFL’s original agreement with Amazon announced as part of a larger series of media distribution deals this past March, had Amazon Prime Video distributing Thursday Night Football starting with the 2023 season.

That means the 2021 season will be the last for Thursday Night Football on FOX, but the network will continue to produce the National Football Conference (NFC) package of Sunday afternoon games with a focus on America’s Game of the Week.

The NFL will see a bigger bump in revenue next year as part of the move and per Pro Football Talk, fans in the market of the teams playing will still have local television broadcast for their viewing pleasure.

Amazon is spending an absurd $465M on the first season of its ‘Lord of the Rings’ TV series

Amazon’s ‘Lord of the Rings’ will be ‘the largest television series ever made.’

Amazon Studios is getting into the fantasy game with its adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, which had previously been adapted for the big screen back in the early 2000s. And they’re investing a heck of a lot of money into this television series.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon will spend roughly $465 million in U.S. dollars — or $650 million in New Zealand dollars — for just the first season of the show. Which is just an absolutely absurd amount of money.

Previous reported estimates for the series had it costing around a record-breaking $500 million for multiple seasons.

By comparison, HBO’s “Game of Thrones” cost around $100 million per season, where it was around $6 million for season one and eventually rose to around $15 million per episode in season eight.

“What I can tell you is Amazon is going to spend about $650 million in season one alone,” New Zealand’s Minister for Economic Development and Tourism Stuart Nash told Morning Report on Friday. “This is fantastic, it really is … this will be the largest television series ever made.”

Right now, the plan is for Amazon to shoot potentially five seasons and a spinoff series. Not to mention, the Lord of the Rings series have already been green-lit for a second season. That’s almost $1 billion for two seasons of television.

‘The Boys’ is finally back with season 2 on Amazon Prime and fans are excited about it

Man, this looks good.

Amazon Prime’s series “The Boys” took the internet by storm last year after they dropped season one at the end of last summer.

It’s just an absolutely brilliant show, just as its comic book counterpart is. It takes the traditional tales of super heroes that we’re used to and flips it completely on its head in a world where their “heroism” is driven by greed and power. And, on top of that, it’s up to a squad of regular people to stop them.

It’s just phenomenal. It’s easily one of the best shows to have released on Amazon Prime so far and now it’s back.

Early reviews from fans and critics are in, and it sounds like things are picking up where they left off. People are already ready for the next episode to release in a week.

People are particularly hate-watching the series’ new villain, Stormfront, after the first three episodes.

I cannot wait to finally sit down and watch this. It’s going to be gooood.

Eagles to be featured on “All or Nothing” premiering Feb. 7 on Amazon Prime Video.

Philadelphia Eagles to be featured on ‘All or Nothing’ on Amazon Prime

The Philadelphia Eagles had an up and down 2019 season and thanks to Amazon Prime Video, fans and critics will get an all-access look at the adversity that the NFC East champions suffered through this season.

The Birds won four straight games to secure the division title while overcoming injuries, and criticism of quarterback Carson Wentz.

Now, the 2019 Eagles are the focus of the latest season of Amazon’s All or Nothing, the in-season documentary of an NFL team produced by NFL Films.

A lighter version of HBO’s Hard Knocks, The eight-episode series, narrated by Jon Hamm, follows the path of an NFL team using an inside look at the workings of the organization through 16 regular-season games and the playoffs.

Fans will be treated to 16 intense regular-season contests and the culmination of reaching Wild Card Weekend, and the painful loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

“All or Nothing,” the behind the scenes look at the 2019 Philadelphia Eagles, premieres Feb. 7 on Amazon Prime Video.
