Angel Reese and Jayden Daniels are among the LSU athletes to appear on Amazon’s new NIL-focused docuseries

“The Money Game” doesn’t have a release date yet, but the projected cast lineup is so good.

LSU has made national headlines in the last year, largely due to the rise in popularity of its athletes during some of college sports’ biggest moments. The impact of the university’s top players in the current NIL era will be shared with sports fans in a new Prime Video docuseries featuring athletes like quarterback Jayden Daniels and forward Angel Reese.

According to Carlie Kollath Wells of Axios, the show will be called The Money Game and will give fans an “all-access pass” to the day-to-day operations of LSU athletics during the 2023-2024 season. Heisman winner Jayden Daniels and 2023 women’s basketball national champion Angel Reese will make appearances along with star gymnast Olivia Dunne and basketball phenom Flau’jae Johnson.

Axios, Campfire Studios and Shaquille O’Neal, Reese’s mentor, have been tapped to produce the project.

NFL won’t flex Week 16 Saints-Rams game from Thursday night slot

The NFL won’t flex Week 16’s Saints-Rams game from its Thursday night slot. They’re one of seven teams with two Thursday night games in 2023:

The NFL’s deadline for choosing whether to flex Week 16’s Thursday night game between the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams has passed, and no change is coming: kickoff from SoFi Stadium will go as scheduled on Dec. 21 at 7:15 p.m. CT. The broadcast will be streamed nationally on Amazon Prime Video.

So feel free to buy tickets if you’re looking to brave the holiday traffic and travel to the West Coast. The Saints and Rams share 5-6 records after New Orleans suffered back-to-back losses with L.A. winning two consecutive games after their bye week, and it’s possible these two teams will be competing for the seventh playoff seed in the NFC by the time Week 16 rolls around.

League ownership voted to allow late-season flexing for Thursday night games this year, and the Saints were one crucial flipped vote to get it passed. Their reward? New Orleans is one of seven teams that will play multiple Thursday games on short weeks this season, along with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chicago Bears, Washington Commanders, San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions, and Green Bay Packers. They lost their first Thursday night game to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Let’s see if the Saints can even things out with a win over the Rams later this year.

Will any Thursday night games get flexed this year? It hasn’t happened yet, and this flexing is only allowed in a window from Weeks 13 to 17. On top of that, the NFL must announce any Thursday game scheduling changes 28 days in advance, so that leaves just one matchup with flex-eligibility: Week 17’s game between the New York Jets (4-7) and Cleveland Browns (7-4). We’ll know by Thursday, Nov. 30 whether that game will be played as scheduled, but the absences of starting quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Deshaun Watson don’t make it very compelling.

The 10 best ’90s sitcoms that you absolutely need to binge right now

Go home, Roger!

From Tamagotchi pets to board games like Hungry Hungry Hippos to pagers that were larger-than-life, the ’90s were a whole mood. The era also produced stellar shows like Friends, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Simpsons, and more.

Simply put, the ’90s was an undefeated era. Television back then was memorable, producing many iconic moments still talked about today. It was nearly impossible to resist parking in front of the TV for “TGIF” Fridays when all your favorite shows were on.

Admittedly, I still throw on episodes of shows I’ve seen dozens of times to cackle hysterically like I’ve never seen them. It’s peak washed behavior, but I make no apologies.

It got me thinking that there must be other people who do this as well and could use a list of highly underrated shows to add to their binge-watch shenanigans.

Grab your favorite comfort food and a spot on the couch, and live your best ’90s life with this (totally biased, but also correct) list.

Jets interested in hosting Black Friday game annually

Could Black Friday Football become a staple for the Jets?

The New York Jets are a part of the league’s first game played on Black Friday this season when they take on the Miami Dolphins on November 24. But it may not be the only time they play on Black Friday.

NFL executive Mike North told Adam Schefter on his podcast that the Jets have shown interest in hosting the game on an annual basis.

“The Jets, once they found out they were the host team, then started to think about, ‘Hey, is this something we could make a permanent fixture as part of the NFL schedule?'” North said, via ESPN. “Maybe they didn’t raise their hands in February, but now that they have been selected as the Black Friday host, I think they might be interested in it, too.”

Being in the biggest retail market in the country helped the Jets be one of the teams to land their game. The league also looked into an Eagles-Giants matchup and the Cincinnati Bengals also expressed interest in hosting the game, as Bengals-Steelers or Bengals-Ravens was also considered.

The league wants to essentially test run this Black Friday idea this season before making a decision on whether a team will permanently host this game similar to the Lions and Cowboys hosting games on Thanksgiving. But it is interesting to think about the possibility of the Jets being the annual fixture on Black Friday.

Kanye West absolutely broke the internet with his set list for the Free Larry Hoover benefit concert with Drake

Wow, this set is pretty great.

After years of beef and animosity for reasons most of us will never know, Drake and Kanye have apparently made amends and are friends again.

Well, at least, they’re friendly enough to perform at the same venue now, anyway.

Houston Legend J Prince brokered peace between the two hip-hop legends and had them perform at a “Free Larry Hoover” benefit concert on Friday put on by Amazon. This was easily one of the most anticipated shows we’ve had in years, not only because of their beef but because these are two absolute musical titans.

And, of course, Ye absolutely lived up to that billing with his setlist from the night. Not only did he play tracks off his new ‘Donda’ album, but he also played the old hits from OG albums like College Dropout, 808’s and Heartbreaks, Late Registration, Graduation and more.

He even played stuff from Yeezus which, you know, isn’t good. But still! He played it!

It was truly a sight to see. Kanye hasn’t even mentioned some of these songs in a decade. He’s never been one to look back on past work.

The internet absolutely loved it.
