Top in-state running back for 2025 visits Auburn

The Tigers will have to lure recruit Alvin Henderson away from the Crimson Tide.

One of the top running back prospects in the nation for 2025 has visited the Plains.

Alvin Henderson, a running back prospect out of Elba, Alabama, visited Auburn and met with coach Hugh Freeze on Saturday. Henderson doesn’t have an official ranking from 247Sports as a 2025 recruit, but he’s drawn a lot of interest from some of the nation’s premier teams β€” including Auburn’s rivals in Alabama.

This visit to Auburn was Henderson’s second in his recruiting process. but the first with the team’s new staff. Henderson was initially recruited by Cadillac Williams, who still remains with the team, so it appears Hugh Freeze and company are sticking with his recruitment to lure him away from the Crimson Tide. Henderson’s most recent visit before this latest one to Auburn was to Alabama, so it’ll be challenging for the team to win his favor and get him to play for the Tigers.

Henderson is one of seven running backs offered by Auburn for the 2025 class.

Auburn extending early offer to 2025 running back Alvin Henderson

Cadillac Williams and Auburn take aim at an in-state running back in 2025.

On Thursday, Auburn extended an offer to in-state 2025 prospect Alvin Henderson. Interestingly enough, Henderson is just a freshman in high school. With three years of high school remaining, it is evident that the Tigers wanted to express interest in him sooner rather than later.

Having received other SEC offers from programs like Georgia and Arkansas, his recruitment is certain to pick up steam soon. This weekend Henderson is scheduled to visit Texas. The native of Elba, Alabama will definitely be a hot commodity for teams all across the country. Coach Harsin and his staff are hoping that they can keep him in the state and land his commitment in the future.
