Twitter explodes after Jordan Battle picks off Will Howard in the Sugar Bowl.

The Allstate Sugar Bowl is underway in New Orleans and the Alabama defense has already made a big play for the Crimson Tide.

On Kansas State’s opening possession, the Wildcats moved the ball to around midfield before senior safety Jordan Battle picked off Will Howard when he attempted to hit star running Deuce Vaughn on a wheel route.

The interception was Battle’s first of his senior season and it couldn’t have come at a better time.

Unfortunately, Bryce Young and the Alabama offense could not take advantage of the turnover and quickly went three and out.

Following Battle’s interception, Twitter quickly exploded.

The Georgia Bulldog transfer is proving to be a vital piece of the Alabama offense here in 2022 after being criminally underused while in Athens.

Bryce has started off the contest on fire connecting on 8 of his 10 passes for 80 yards. Burton’s touchdown reception was his second catch of the contest.

Alabama’s defense has stimied the Utah State Aggie offense early on while the Crimson Tide offense has scored on each of its first two possessions of the game.

Alabama Twitter reacts to Calvin Ridley’s suspension

It didn’t take Alabama Twitter long to express their thoughts on the Calvin Ridley gambling suspension.

Earlier today the entire sports world was sent into shock with the report that former Alabama and current Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley, had been suspended for the entire 2022 NFL season. Ridley is being suspended for gambling while being away from the Falcons during the 2021 season.

It didn’t take the fans of the Crimson Tide to express their feelings on Ridley’s suspension on Twitter.

Alabama arrived in Indianapolis late Friday in preparation for its College Football Playoff national championship matchup with the Georgia Bulldogs.

Due to the blistering cold weather that Indy welcomed the Crimson Tide with, Alabama head coach Nick Saban went deep into his closet to find just the right jacket for the occasion.

Saban was seen wearing a brown bomber leather jacket as the Tide arrived in Indianapolis and Twitter absolutely lost its mind!

As you can see, the Crimson Tide faithful have fallen in love with Saban’s leather jacket. It has even given the fans a better feeling about the game on Monday night.

Wake up, it’s game day!

It’s not just any other game day, but it’s a rivalry Saturday in Tuscaloosa as Tennessee comes to town for another edition of The Third Saturday in October.

Since Nick Saban took over in 2007, Alabama has never lost to Tennessee. Currently sitting at 14 in a row, there has not been a longer win streak in the all-time series. The Vols have capped out at seven, stretching from 1995-2001.

On the field today, quarterback Hendon Hooker is expected to go. He suffered a late ankle injury against Ole Miss and was in doubt throughout the entire week. If they have any chance of winning today, Hooker will have to play at an elite level.

As usual, Alabama Twitter was on fire, preparing for the game. Don’t tell anybody the rivalry with Tennessee is dead because the gumps will have something to say about it.
