Alabama’s dreams of another national championship will have to wait another year after the Crimson Tide suffered a heartbreaking defeat to the Michigan Wolverines in the Rose Bowl matchup of the College Football Playoff.

The Crimson Tide held a seven-point lead with around four minutes remaining in the contest but were unable to secure a victory over the No. 1 ranked Wolverines.

Alabama struggled to find consistency throughout the game on both offense and defense and could not make the plays in crunch time and that proved to be the Tide’s downfall.

Anytime you can get a road win in the SEC, it is fun. [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and the Alabama Crimson Tide football team accomplished just that on Saturday with their dominating 49-21 win over Mark Stoops and the Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington.

Alabama was fairly dominant on both sides of the ball from start to finish and the Wildcats were never really in it once the Tide took an early 21-0 lead.

Quarterback Jalen Milroe was once again splendid with six total touchdowns and the Alabama defense continuously stuffed Kentucky’s offense.

Alabama’s 42-28 win over the LSU Tigers on Saturday night inside Bryant-Denny Stadium gave the Crimson Tide some wiggle room atop the SEC West standings.

After a back-and-forth first half, Alabama once again flexed its muscles in the second half outscoring the Tigers 21-7 in the final 30 minutes of action.

With the win, Alabama improves to 8-1 on the season and a perfect 6-0 in SEC play with just two conference games remaining, both of which are on the road. The Crimson Tide will need to win just one of those to clinch the SEC West and move on to Atlanta for the SEC Championship.

In an incredible comeback effort from the Crimson Tide, Alabama defeated the Tennessee Volunteers 34-20 in the 106th edition of the “Third Saturday in October” on Saturday afternoon from inside Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa.

After trailing 20-7 at the half, [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] led the Crimson Tide to a historic come-from-behind victory with a dominating second-half performance that saw Alabama outscore the Vols 27-0.

With the win Alabama moves to 7-1 on the season and a perfect 5-0 in SEC play heading into their bye week before another major conference matchup with the LSU Tigers.
