Ryans won SEC Defensive Player of the Year for his incredible season in 2005 and was recognized as a unanimous first-team All-American.

Coffee last played for the San Francisco 49ers in 2009 before he abruptly retired after just one season.

His role on special teams remains a critical piece of the puzzle in 2023.

Braswell is entering his fourth season in Tuscaloosa and has primarily been a role player for the Tide. With Will Anderson Jr. now in the NFL, Braswell is expected to be the starting outside linebacker opposite of Dallas Turner.

Freshman linebacker Yhonzae Pierre currently wears No. 42 for the Crimson Tide but we will now take a look at the last player to wear No. 42 for Alabama, Jaylen Moody.

Moody played for the Crimson Tide from 2018-22 and totaled 95 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, two fumble recoveries, and one interception in 32 total games played.

Moody went undrafted in the 2023 NFL draft but was quickly picked up by the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent.

Freshman linebacker [autotag]Shawn Murphy[/autotag] wears No. 43 for the Tide but has yet to take the field in the Crimson and White.

One of the more recent Alabama players to wear No. 43 was place kicker [autotag]Cade Foster[/autotag].

Foster played for Alabama from 2010-13 where he appeared in over 50 games. For his career, Foster was a perfect 67 of 67 on extra points but hit on only 56.8% of his field goal attempts. Foster finished with a total of 124 points in his Alabama career.

Payne totaled seven tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss in 2022.

Ouzts has played with the first-team offense since his freshman season in 2021. For his career, Ouzts has accumulated five receptions for 51 yards. Ouzts is expected to be one of the primary tight ends again in 2023.
