Twitch might be known for boisterous streamers and lively esports tournaments, but a whole new breed of influencer is about to take the platform by storm: animals.
Yes, our fluffy, furry, and feathered friends just got a section on Twitch. The “Animals, Aquariums, and Zoos” category, to be precise. Now you can easily track down a chill stream of bunnies munching on carrots or ducks frolicking about with ease. Twitch launched this section as part of its Animal Week celebration and will work with organizations dedicated to helping critters from all over the globe.
“Dedicating a space to our wonderful companions isn’t just a morale booster — it’s an exciting way to elevate the importance of environmental and conservation issues facing these critters of varying sizes and origin,” Twitch said on its blog. “We’re working with zoos, aquariums, and animal non-profits to elevate the animals, their conservation, and the restoration and conservation of the environment they need to thrive.”

There are some really cool channels from zoos already, like Marine Mammal Rescue Centre’s sea otter stream. Or The Honey Bee Hangout, which has, well, bees doing bee things!
