Richardson played for the Vols from 2011-2015. He was a First-Team All-SEC standout in 2015 and a two-time member of the SEC All-Defensive Team.

Richardson was selected by Miami in the second round of the 2015 NBA draft (No. 40 overall).

He returned to Miami this season after playing for Philadelphia, Dallas, Boston, San Antonio and New Orleans.
