Georgia football play of the day: A.J. Green vs Arizona State (2008)

Watch A.J. Green’s impressive freshman performance versus Arizona State in 2010 here!

It’s Thursday, August 27 and today’s play of the day is more like play(s).

We are making an exception for Georgia receiver legend A.J. Green and instead of highlighting one of the plays from the Bulldogs’ match up with Arizona State in 2010, let’s watch all of his catches from his dominant freshman performance.

Sometimes I think Green isn’t appreciated quite enough for how great he was for Georgia and this clip is a great example of just how good he was, as a freshman nonetheless.

Green finished with 8 catches for 159 yards and a touchdown on the way to a 27-10 Georgia win. He would also go on that year to break the UGA freshman receiving record for receptions in a season with 56.

Green was drafted No. 4 overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2011 NFL Draft. He became the first rookie Pro Bowl receiver in eight years and now, continues to lead the Bengals receiver room in his ninth season.
