The Godzilla Minus One team brought baby Godzillas to the Oscars and it’s totally awesome

Baby Godzillas for the win!

The staff behind Godzilla Minus One brought baby Godzillas to the Oscars, plus Godzilla-themed shoes and it’s the best thing we’ve seen all day.

If you’re going to show up to the Academy Awards, THIS is how you do it. The director of Godzilla Minus One, Takashi Yamazaki, started the party by showing up on the Oscars red carpet with a golden Godzilla that was also dressed for the occasion. His team was not far behind him, with Godzillas of their own and matching Godzilla-themed shoes.

If that wasn’t enough, when Godzilla Minus One received the award for Best Visual Effects, the group celebrated with their baby Godzillas.

John Cena showed up naked to the Oscars, and we can’t un-Cena it

A naked John Cena was not on our bingo card.

John Cena seemingly presented the award for Best Costume Design at the Oscars while naked. Yes, NAKED.

Jimmy Kimmel and John Cena surprised the entire audience at the Academy Awards with the naked body of Cena. Kimmel was reminiscing about a previous Academy Awards moment when a man streaked across the stage. He then asks the audience, “Can you imagine if a nude man ran across the stage today?” At that point, Cena was supposed to streak across the stage but was “afraid” to do the deed.

Kimmel told him to stop making it weird. That’s when John slowly inched his way out to the podium, with only an envelope covering his nether region, to present the award for Best Costume Design. He fittingly opened his award presentation dialogue with “Costumes are so important.”

Da’Vine Joy Randolph is on cloud nine after winning Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Holdovers. She was so excited and grateful that she shouted out her publicist, and fans started making memes because of the shoutout.

Listen, when you win an Academy Award, you want to thank all the people who helped get you there. That’s exactly what Da’Vine Joy Randolph did after she won her first Oscar. During an incredibly heartfelt acceptance speech, Da’Vine shouted out her mom, a teacher and her publicist for helping her get to that moment, especially because she never thought it was her life’s journey to act. (See the 2:12 mark of the clip below.)

Da’Vine shared this with the audience:

“I have to give a special shoutout to my publicist. I know y’all said don’t say nothing about no publicist, but you don’t have a publicist like I have a publicist!”
