LSU the latest to offer rising 2026 safety from Baltimore

LSU’s recruiting staff has ventured back into one of the top high school programs in Maryland to offer a talented safety from the 2026 recruiting class.

[autotag]Wayne Henry[/autotag] is a 5-foot-10, 160-pound safety from Baltimore where he plays for national powerhouse St. Frances Academy. The Panthers finished last season 9-1 with their only loss coming at the end of the season to IMG Academy, another nationally ranked team.

There are currently no Crystal Ball projections for Henry at this time and there are no clear favorites to land him per On3, although Maryland holds a slight edge so far.

Henry will be a name to keep an eye on moving forward as he plays his sophomore season this fall.

LSU recently offered another 2026 linebacker from Georgia.

LSU’s recruiting staff is spending a lot of time working on the 2026 recruiting class. They recently offered another linebacker from Georgia.

[autotag]Rodney Colton[/autotag] is a 6-foot-1, 205-pound linebacker from Newnan, Georgia where he plays for Newnan High School. The Newnan Cougars finished the 2022 season 4-6 and failed to make the 6A state playoffs.

There are currently no Crystal Ball projections for Colton, and there are no clear favorites to land him per On3.

Film Analysis: Colton is a talented outside linebacker that does a tremendous job covering his assignments in pass coverage. He can go one-on-one with a running back in the flats and win the matchup.

LSU’s recruiting staff found a “Tank” in Mobile, Alabama.

LSU is looking for talented linebackers for their 2026 recruiting class. They took a trip to south Alabama and ran into a kid that St. Paul’s Episcopal calls “Tank.”

[autotag]Anthony Jones[/autotag] is a 6-foot-4, 205-pound linebacker from Mobile, Alabama… The St. Paul’s Saints finished the 2022 season 7-6 with a loss to Theodore in the third round of the AHSAA 6A state playoffs.

There are currently no Crystal Ball projections for Jones, but Alabama is a 34% favorite to land him per On3.

Film Analysis: Jones is a large guy who is a menace at outside linebacker for St. Paul’s.

[autotag]Zelus Hicks[/autotag] is a 6-foot-2, 170-pound, safety from Lilburn, Georgia where he plays for Parkview High School. The Parkview Panthers finished the 2022 season 8-4 with a loss to Westgate in the second round of the GHSA 7A playoffs.

There are currently no Crystal Ball projections for Hicks, but Georgia is a 36% favorite to land him per On3.

Film Analysis: Hicks has a long way to go before he decides where he will play at the next level, but he shows great ball skills for a freshman.

[autotag]Jardon Stringer[/autotag] is a 6-foot-2, 175-pound wide receiver from LaGrange, Georgia, where he plays for LaGrange High School. The Grangers finished the 2022 season 8-3 with a loss to Burke County in the first round of the GHSA 4A playoffs.

Film Analysis: Stringer is a starter on both sides of the ball for the Grangers but he is projected to be a wide receiver at the next level.

LSU took a trip to Jacksonville, Florida, to check out one of the best wide receivers in the 2026 recruiting class.

[autotag]Naeem Burroughs[/autotag] is a 6-foot, 155-pound wide receiver from Jacksonville, Florida where he plays for Bolles High School. The Bolles Bulldogs finished the 2022 season 9-5 with a loss to American Heritage in the 2M state semifinals.

There are currently no crystal ball projections for Burroughs at this time, but Florida is a 74% favorite per On3.

Film Analysis: Burroughs is just a freshman so he still has a lot of time to grow, but he already shows flashes of great route running and hands.

Film Analysis: Williams is a defensive back that is not afraid to come up and lay a lick on a running back in run support. He will be fun to watch going forward.

LSU’s coaching staff took a trip to Georgia to check out one of the top recruits of the 2026 class.

[autotag]Devin Carter[/autotag] is a 5-foot-11, 148-pound wide receiver from the class of 2026. He is from Evans, Georgia, where he plays for Cedar Grove High School.

The Cedar Grove Saints finished the 2022 season 11-3 with a loss to Sandy Creek in the GHSA 3A state championship game.

Film Analysis: Carter is a talented kid that is just scratching the surface of how talented he can be. He is a good route runner with great hands and speed to burn.

The LSU recruiting staff took a trip to south Florida to check out a young wide receiver prospect who is about to enter his sophomore season.

[autotag]Denarius Gray[/autotag] is a 6-foot-1, 170-pound wide receiver from Boynton Beach, Florida, where he plays for Somerset Canyons High School.

The Somerset Canyons Cougars finished the 2022 season 5-5 and failed to make the playoffs.

Film Analysis: Gray had 56 receptions for 752 yards and 14 receiving touchdowns as a freshman. He is an excellent route runner that does a great job of creating separation at the line of scrimmage and high pointing passes. He will be one to watch in the future.

Tyler Atkinson is just a 2026 prospect, but he impressed playing as a freshman.

[autotag]Tyler Atkinson[/autotag] is a 6-foot-3, 190-pound EDGE rusher from the class of 2026. He is from Loganville, Georgia, where he plays for Grayson High School. The Grayson Rams finished the 2022 season 10-3 with a loss to Milton in the third round of the Georgia 7A state playoffs.

Atkinson currently has no Crystal Ball projections, but Georgia is a 33% favorite to land him per On3.

Film Analysis: Atkinson is just going to be a sophomore in high school next season but he is already compiling a long list of college offers. He shows why with his speed and power off the edge. He exhibits traits as a freshman that some players don’t have as seniors.
