Alabama lands in top 5 for 2025 5-star safety Faheem Delane

Five-star safety Faheem Delane released his top schools list. Alabama was one of the five programs that made the cut.

One of the nation’s top safety prospects for the 2025 recruiting class is Our Lady of Good Counsel’s Faheem Delane. Delane listed Alabama as one of five finalists to land his commitment.

Delane has taken two trips to Tuscaloosa since receiving an offer from the Crimson Tide in May of 2022.

The Maryland native is the younger brother of Virginia Tech defensive back Mansoor Delane.

Andrew Ivins of 247Sports compared Delane to former five-star and current Georgia safety Joenel Aguero. His scouting report reads as follows:

“An aggressive back-seven defender that can cover the pass, defend the run, and get home on the blitz. Owns a college-ready frame having measured roughly 6-foot-2.5, 200 pounds summer before junior season. Quick to trigger and tends to play with tons of confidence. Has been utilized primarily as a box safety and a slot corner at the prep level and found plenty of success in both roles. Physical more times than not and always looking to deliver a blow. Serviceable in man-to-man situations and held his own at Under Armour’s Future annual event, producing a pair of takeaways. However, can lose track of wide receivers in the deeper third and lacks the foot speed to recover. Should be viewed as a potential impact player in the secondary for a Power Five program that can do a little bit of everything. Likely to find the most success in a defensive scheme that has him forward-facing and constantly puts him in position to make plays. Has what it takes to get on the field sooner rather than later like his brother, who starred as a freshman at Virginia Tech.”

It will be interesting to see which program Delane commits to. His decision will likely be made in the near future.

Alabama WR commit Ryan Williams announces decision to reclassify from 2025 class to 2024 class

After waiting for over nine days, the suspense is over. Alabama wide receiver commit Ryan Williams announced that he is reclassifying from the 2025 recruiting class to the 2024 recruiting class.

The suspense has now ceased. All questions have been answered. Alabama wide receiver commit Ryan Williams has announced that he will be reclassifying to the 2024 recruiting class. Originally, Williams was a member of the 2025 recruiting class.

Now, he will enroll in college a year earlier and be eligible to play for the Crimson Tide next fall.

This news should come as little to no surprise. Williams was in Tuscaloosa over the weekend with his family and friends. Some had speculated that Williams would flip his commitment from Alabama to Auburn. After all, that is where his father, Ryan Williams Sr. played.

Williams has solidified himself as one of the top prospects in the state of Alabama, much less the country for that matter. During his junior season, Williams helped lead the Saraland Spartans to their second consecutive state championship appearance. Williams led the way this season for the Spartans having reeled in 72 receptions for 1,324 yards and 19 touchdowns in 14 games.

The Alabama coaching staff will certainly be pleased to hear the news of Williams’ decision to reclassify. With star wide receiver Jermaine Burton likely entering the 2024 NFL Draft, the opportunity for Williams to see the field as a true freshman will increase drastically. He already possesses the attributes to be successful at the college level. Williams has the size, speed, and playmaking ability to make an immediate impact in Tuscaloosa next season.

2025 CG Jeremiah Fears lists Alabama in top 10

2025 combo guard Jeremiah Fears recently narrowed his list of finalists down to 10 schools. One of the schools that made the cut was Alabama.

The Alabama men’s basketball program continues to receive good news on and off the court. Recently, 2025 combo guard Jeremiah Fears narrowed his list of finalists down to 10 schools. One of the programs that made the cut was Alabama.

Fears hails from Joliet, Illinois but currently plays high school ball at Compass Prep in Chandler, Arizona.

Jeremiah is the younger brother of Michigan State guard Jeremy Fears. However, the two have different styles of play according to 247Sports recruiting analyst Brandon Jenkins.

Jenkins had the following to say about Jeremiah Fears as a prospect:

“Fears is the younger brother of Michigan State point guard Jeremy Fears but plays an entirely different brand of basketball. He is a smooth and confident scorer who has no problem finding his own offense within the flow of a game. A combination guard with a score-first mindset, Fears is at his best in a secondary ball-handling role where he can primarily focus on making shots and creating for himself off the bounce. He is talented with the ball in his hands and has a creative enough handle to break defenders down to get to his pull-up game.”

Alabama offered Fears less than a month ago. It will be interesting to see if Fears gets on campus for either an unofficial or official visit.
