Bengals bolster pass rush with Senior Bowl star in latest mock

The Bengals roll the dice on one of the draft’s fastest-rising names in a new mock.

It goes without saying that the Cincinnati Bengals need help getting to the quarterback position this offseason. Trey Hendrickson is a stud but can still stand to get some running mates on the other side.

In the latest mock draft from Pro Football Network, the Bengals get just that in the form of Marshall edge rusher Mike Green. Green was one of the top pass rushers during the 2024 season, leading the nation with 17 sacks. Green recorded a sack in all but three games played last season and had five games with multiple sacks, including a three-sack game against Southern Miss.

Green then showed he can play with the big boys after posting a strong week in Mobile, Alabama at the Senior Bowl. He was so good that he only needed two days’ worth of work before deciding to end his week to avoid injury. Green showed top-10 potential in Mobile. The Bengals getting him at No. 17 could turn out to be excellent value.

“The Bengals are looking for answers after a down season,” wrote Marco Enriquez. “As they navigate the contracts for their dynamic pass-catching duo, Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, they will need to find cap space elsewhere. One way to do that is investing in high-,value positions in the draft to lock in rookie contracts.

RELATED: One CPOTY voter ranked Russell Wilson over Joe Burrow

“Mike Green brings high energy and an aggressive pass-rushing style. His bend and twitch at the position have allowed him to be highly productive during his college career. While his athleticism can cover some of his rawness, he is inexperienced as a redshirt sophomore and will need some time to learn on the job.

“If the Bengals are willing to be a little patient with his development, he may repay them as a game-changing defender for years to come.”

Green weighing in at about 250 pounds in Mobile was huge for his draft stock. To move the way he does at his size is going to be a huge asset and make him a few extra bucks. Green could be a huge addition for the Bengals.

Reacting to Colts selections in 7-round 2025 NFL mock draft

Let’s break down the Indianapolis Colts’ selections in this seven-round 2025 NFL mock draft.

Who did the Indianapolis Colts end up selecting in this seven-round 2025 NFL mock draft?

It’s not often that at this early stage of the pre-draft process do we see a full seven-round NFL mock draft. So when one does pop up, we’ve got to break down and react to each of the Colts’ selections.

Ian Cummings of Pro Football Network recently made each pick for all 32 teams over the full seven rounds of the draft. Here is who he had the Colts taking and what you need to know:

Pick 14: Malaki Starks, S, Georgia

Starks would be a “perfect fit” for Lou Anarumo’s defense, wrote Cummings. His versatility and ability to play both the run and the pass would mesh well with Anarumo’s disguise-heavy scheme. And if you’re wondering, Cummings had the Colts making this pick with Tyler Warren still on the board.

Pick 45: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

Morrison’s 2024 season was ended in October after he underwent hip surgery. However, through six games, he allowed a completion rate of just 44% and 10.4 yards per catch. His career completion rate when targeted is 46% and includes nine interceptions and 12 pass breakups over three seasons.

Pick 80: Harold Fanin Jr., TE, Bowling Green

We know the Colts need an added presence in the passing game at the tight end position–well, here you go. Fanin is undersized at 238 pounds but led all of college football in receiving yards at the tight end position with 1,555 in 2024. Fanin has ample experience lining up from the slot and out wide.

Pick 116: Ty Robinson, IDL, Nebraska

The Colts depth along the interior behind Grover Stewart and DeForest Buckner has to improve. Robinson would total 42 pressures, six sacks, and graded out well against the run, according to PFF’s metrics.

Pick 152: Bhayshul Tuten, RB, Virginia Tech

Jonathan Taylor is still under contract, but improved depth behind him could help to reduce his workload over the course of a long NFL season. The Colts could also benefit from having a passing game threat out of the backfield as well. Tuten rushed for over 1,100 yards in two of the last three seasons and has 118 targets in the passing game in his four college seasons.

Pick 191: Brian Stevens, C, Virginia

The extent to which the Colts have to address the offensive line will be dependent upon whether Will Fries returns. But even if he’s re-signed, interior depth is still needed with Ryan Kelly, Mark Glowinski and Danny Pinter free agents as well. Stevens has been very good in pass-protection throughout his career and has been graded as an above average run-blocker as well.

Pick 234: Daniel Jackson, WR, Minnesota

Wide receiver is probably the last position the Colts have to address, but in the latter portion of the draft, team needs take a back seat. Primarily a boundary receiver, Jackson has totaled nearly 1,700 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns the last two seasons combined.

3 Guards the Seahawks could target at No. 18 overall in 2025 NFL Draft

3 Guards the Seahawks could target at No. 18 overall in 2025 NFL Draft

The Seattle Seahawks need to upgrade their offensive line this offseason, particularly across the interior. Veteran left guard Laken Tomlinson played poorly on an expiring contract and isn’t expected to return. Connor Williams abruptly retired midseason and sophomore blocker Olu Oluwatimi was unexpectedly inserted into the lineup at center. The right guard position was arguably worse of all, with three rookies and sophomores (Anthony Bradford, Sataoa Luamea, and Christian Haynes) all failing to maximize opportunities.

John Schneider must acquire a guard capable of playing high-level football right away this offseason. The Seahawks own the No. 18 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft. Guard should be their highest offseason priority. We’ve identified three interior blockers they could potentially target with that pick.

Will Campbell, LSU

Will Campbell played offensive tackle for the LSU Tigers, but many scouts and analysts are projecting him to play guard at the next level. The Seahawks are tasked with assessing his positional versatility throughout this process. If the conclusion is that Campbell is better positioned for success at the guard, the Seahawks should feel comfortable drafting him at 18.

Tyler Booker, Alabama

Tyler Booker may be the most natural first-round guard available. With no questions over his future position, Booker has been a highly effective phone-booth blocker for the Alabama Crimson Tide. He overwhelms opponents with raw power and strength. Considering power has been an issue for the Seahawks’ guards in pass protection, this would represent a welcomed change of pace.

Kelvin Banks Jr., Texas

Kelvin Banks Jr. is another first-round prospect facing positional questions. The Texas Longhorns tackle may be a better fit to block on the interior due to questionable foot speed and balance issues. If Banks Jr. plays guard, he’d represent a better option than current in-house candidates Bradford and Laumea.

Seahawks double down on defense in ESPN’s 2-round 2025 NFL mock draft

Seahawks double down on defense in ESPN’s 2-round 2025 NFL mock draft

Most 2025 NFL mock drafts have the Seattle Seahawks addressing the offensive line early. That’s the baseline expectation, considering the Seahawks have massive needs across the interior of their O-line, and arguably at right guard as well. Despite that, ESPN’s Matt Miller took a different approach via his recent two-round mock draft.

With the No. 18 overall selection, Miller has the Seahawks drafting University of Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell.

“Seattle fans would rather the team address the trenches in Round 1, but general manager John Schneider has shown in the past that he values the linebacker position more than others (i.e., the Jordyn Brooks pick in 2020),” Miller wrote. “So while there’s a strong case for Alabama guard Tyler Booker here if Seattle goes all-in on running the ball in 2025, I’m looking more at how Campbell’s three-down impact could fill a massive hole.

Additionally, Campbell would also bring value as a pass rusher on third down, with five sacks in 2024. He is the closest thing coach Mike Macdonald can get to what he had with Roquan Smith in Baltimore.”

Miller brings up an interesting point that Schneider values linebackers. Ernest Jones IV is currently slated for free agency, and Pro Football Focus recently projected him to sign with an NFC West rival. Elsewhere, Macdonald’s defense runs through its linebackers when at its best, as proven by Roquan Smith’s form in Baltimore when Macdonald was the Ravens’ defensive coordinator.

In the second round, Miller has the Seahawks drafting Texas defensive tackle Alfred Collins at No. 50 overall.

“It’s tempting to pick a quarterback-in-waiting here, but the value isn’t right,” Miller continued. “Instead, the Seahawks take another Texas defensive tackle to join Byron Murphy II, Seattle’s first-round pick in 2024. Collins is a true nose tackle at 6-foot-5, 320 pounds who can shut down interior rush lanes.”

As Miller noted, Collins would be reuniting with last year’s first-round pick Byron Murphy II. Would the Seahawks utilize another premium selection on an interior defensive linemen though? Schneider could get better value here.

Bengals grab potential Tee Higgins replacement in Lance Zierlein’s first mock

If the Bengals can’t make it work with Tee Higgins, mock drafts offer solutions.

The Cincinnati Bengals still have a chance to retain wide receiver Tee Higgins before free agency opens in March. If not, the team will be in search for a weapon to pair with Ja’Marr Chase either in free agency or in the draft as the team will look to end their two-season playoff drought in 2025.

That potential draft scenario played out in the first mock draft from NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein. With the 17th pick, the Bengals select Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan.

“This pairing might be the most perfect scheme/roster fit in the entire mock. McMillan plays similarly to Drake London and Tee Higgins,” wrote Zierlein about the Wildcats’ star receiver. McMillan posted back-to-back seasons of at least 1,300 yards and had at least eight touchdowns in all three seasons at Arizona, catching 26 in total.

RELATED: Ja’Marr Chase slips up with revealing comment about Bengals’ season

McMillan is considered by many to be the No. 1 wide receiver prospect in this class and for a team in Cincinnati that is always looking for weapons, landing such a player at No. 17 could end up being a very nice option. Some may want an edge rusher here for the Bengals and this mock does have the Bengals passing up players like Nic Scourton and Shemar Stewart of Texas A&M.

The Bengals’ ultimate decision on Higgins could end up going a long way toward the direction they go in the first round of the draft on April 24.

Seahawks draft versatile OL in latest 2025 NFL mock draft

Seahawks draft versatile OL in latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft

The Seattle Seahawks are entering the offseason with massive needs across their offensive line. General manager John Schneider must identify and acquire multiple instant starters in free agency and the 2025 NFL draft, particularly at the interior positions. The Draft Network recently dropped a recent mock draft that achieves just that.

The Draft Network has the Seahawks drafting Will Campbell with the No. 18 overall selection in their latest first-round mock draft exercise.

“Will Campbell looked more like a guard on tape to me and didn’t quite meet his lofty expectations this past season,” TDN wrote. “The Seahawks desperately need starters at guard though, and Campbell could be plug-and-play for a struggling front.”

Last year’s starting left guard Laken Tomlinson is slated for free agency. Tomlinson underperformed and likely won’t be welcomed back by Schneider. At right guard, three young blockers struggled to varying degrees, with Anthony Bradford, Christian Haynes, and Sataoa Luamea all failing to make the position their own. At center, the Seahawks dealt with Connor Williams’ abrupt midseason retirement.

Campbell played left tackle for LSU, but many NFL evaluators believe he’ll kick inside to guard. The Seahawks obviously have a franchise left tackle in Charles Cross. If Schneider and Co. view Campbell as an inside blocker, he should be shortlisted as a potential option at 18th overall.

Colts land a top cornerback in post-Senior Bowl mock draft

The Indianapolis Colts land a top cornerback in this post-Senior Bowl 2025 NFL mock draft.

In a post-Senior Bowl mock draft from The Draft Network, the Indianapolis Colts address the cornerback position in the first round.

In a recent mock draft from Justin Melo, the Colts took Texas cornerback Jahdae Barron at pick 14. And for those wondering, tight end Tyler Warren was a top-10 pick in this mock.

Barron’s 2024 season has him flying up draft boards and recently, this is the second mock draft that has had the Colts selecting him at 14th overall–the other mock belonged to Daniel Jeremiah.

Barron will come to the NFL with experience, having played over 2,600 snaps during his three seasons at Texas. The bulk of Barron’s snaps in 2022 and 2023 came from the nickel but he was primarily on the boundary in 2024.

In coverage this past season, Barron allowed a completion rate of only 54% and just 7.8 yards per catch. He also had excellent ball production as well, with five interceptions and nine pass breakups.

For more on Barron, here is what Lance Zierlein had to say in his pre-draft report:

“Barron played smothering coverage underneath, fueled by route recognition, footwork and play strength. His instincts allow him to pounce on catch points or tackle pass catchers immediately from zone. However, he lacks recovery speed deep and can be a little too grabby at the top of the route in man.”

If on the Colts, Barron would be on the boundary with Kenny Moore already occupying the nickel.

The cornerback position is one of the biggest needs the Colts have this offseason. The addition of Lou Anarumo and his defensive scheme can hopefully provide that unit with a boost but additions are needed as well.

Bengals build out depth at edge in latest ESPN mock draft

The Bengals add to Trey Hendrickson’s position in a new mock draft.

Priority No.1 for the Cincinnati Bengals this offseason is to try and keep wide receiver Tee Higgins long-term. Priority No. 1B, if you will, is to find help on the edge getting to the quarterback.

Trey Hendrickson led the league this season with 17.5 sacks. No other Bengals player had more than five. The Bengals could stand to add some help for Hendrickson, especially if they decide to move on from Sam Hubbard.

The Bengals do just that in the latest mock draft from ESPN’s Matt Miller. Not just in round one but also in round two.

First, at No. 17, the Bengals go with Shemar Stewart of Texas A&M. Stewart is fresh off a strong week in Mobile, Alabama at the Senior Bowl. Pro Football Focus’ Max Chadwick named Stewart the best edge defender.

“The lack of talent around Trey Hendrickson on the Bengals’ defense was a huge reason Cincinnati missed the playoffs for a second straight season,” wrote Miller. Along with a new defensive coordinator, we should expect several key defensive additions in the offseason.

Stewart is a tough evaluation. He checks every box, from his 6-foot-5, 281-pound size to his speed and power. But he had only 1.5 sacks in the each of the past three seasons. That’s something teams must dig in on in the coming months. If the Bengals can unlock that next-level talent, he’d give them inside-outside pass-rush ability.”

RELATED: Bengals’ Tee Higgins wants future solved ‘very soon’

If the Bengals can get past the lack of production on the stat sheet, they can grab themselves one of the best athletes at this position in this draft and create what would be a great duo in Hendrickson and Stewart.

But you can never have enough good pass rushers, especially in a division that has Lamar Jackson and a conference that has Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen and Justin Herbert, to name a few. As such, we have the Bengals double-dipping at the position in this mock, going with JT Tuimoloau of Ohio State at No. 49.

“If the Bengals are able to keep free agent receiver Tee Higgins, they’d be able to go heavy on defense in the draft. Tuimoloau had 10.5 sacks in a great senior season and would be a player capable of starting on day one for a defense that finished 26th in defensive EPA.”

A rotation of Hendrickson, Stewart and Tuimoloau would be a great problem to have for new defensive coordinator Al Golden.
