Hawaiian OL chooses Nebraska over Michigan State, others:

One of the first prospects in the 2025 recruiting class that the new Michigan State coaching staff pursued was Houston Kaahaaina-Torres, a Hawaii native.

The Spartans pursued the interior offensive line target alongside Arizona State, Nebraska and Utah. This time, the Spartans fell just short in the recruitment, losing out on the prospect to another Big Ten school.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers are the team that was able to come out victorious in the battle for the 3-star.

Michigan State football lands commitment from in-state TE Jayden Savoury

In-state TE chooses Michigan State over BYU, Penn State, Wisconsin and more:

Michigan State is now up to nine commitments in the 2025 recruiting class after their latest addition on Monday. Orchard Lake St. Mary’s tight end Jayden Savoury has made his commitment to stay home and play for MSU.

Savoury, a 6-foot-6, 220 pound TE, is a 3-star prospect that courted interest from over a dozen power conference teams and has major upside.

Savoury joins a recruiting class that features Leo Hannan, Charles White, DiMari Malone, Jace Clarizio, Braylon Collier, Emmett Bork, Drew Nichols and Charles Taplin in the Spartans 2025 recruiting class.

MSU adds 3-star Texas WR to its 2025 recruiting class

Michigan State has added to its 2025 recruiting class, making another splash. The Spartans have picked up the commitment of Charles Taplin, a 3-star wide receiver from Red Oak, Texas.

A 6-foot-1, 160 pound wide receiver, Taplin brings an element of speed to the wide receiver room that the Spartans are trying to add.

4-star OL Darius Afalava names MSU in his top four:

The Spartans hosted Darius Afalava on an official visit and have made the offensive lineman feel like a top priority ever since the staff arrived on campus. Those efforts have seemed to pay off as Michigan State has been featured in his top four, with a commitment looming.

The Spartans stand alongside Oklahoma, Utah and Washington in the final four.

Afalava is a 4-star prospect and stands at 6’5″, weighing 320 pounds. Originially from Hawaii, Afalava plays his high school football in Lehi, Utah.

Michigan commit confirms Michigan State football official visit, according to reports

A Michigan commit has confirmed that he will be officially visiting MSU this weekend:

Michigan State football is set to host another big weekend of official visits this upcoming weekend, and included in that list is a recruit committed to Michigan.

Howell defensive lineman Bobby Kanka is a 4-star prospect, currently committed to the University of Michigan. Although committed to the rivals, the Spartans have made a strong push to try and flip the defensive tackle prospect.

An aid to those aspirations has come through, and according to various recruiting reporters, Kanka has confirmed that he will be taking an official visit to East Lansing this weekend.

3-star in state linebacker chooses Michigan State

Michigan State has added to its 2025 recruiting class, this time plucking an in state talent. DiMari Malone, a Macomb (MI) native, has committed to the Spartans.

Malone is a 6-foot, 200 pound linebacker attending Dakota High School. He is rated a 3-star prospect according to all of the recruiting sites.

Malone joins Michigan State’s 2025 recruiting class alongside Leo Hannan and Charles White.

Malone held additional offers from Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and West Virginia.

Michigan State football offers 2025 LB Dawson Merritt from Stilwell, Kansas.

Michigan State has made the move to offer Dawson Merritt, a linebacker in the 2025 recruiting class. Merritt is a native of Stilwell, Kansas, attending Blue Valley High School.

Merritt is a 3-star according to 247Sports, standing 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds. He holds additional offers from Appalachian State, Boston College and Iowa State.
