Analyzing New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers’ 2024 fantasy football ADP and where to target him in fantasy drafts.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers has had quite a storied career since being drafted with the 24th overall pick in the 2005 draft. After spending the first 18 years of his career with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers played just 1 possession for the Jets last season before suffering a season-ending Achilles injury. Below, we look at Aaron Rodgers’ 2024 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

Entering 2024, he is expected to impact the Jets’ roster in the way he was expected to prior to his injury. Looking for a new beginning with a new team, the seasoned veteran is intriguing in terms of fantasy value.

Rodgers’s ADP in redraft leagues places him in the range of the 10th to the 12th round, depending on the size of the league.

Among quarterbacks, Rodgers’ ADP puts him 21st at the position, behind Patriots rookie QB Drake Maye (93.86), the Lions’ Jared Goff (94.49), Broncos rookie Bo Nix (105.66) and surprisingly Saints rookie Spencer Rattler (107.46). Rodgers is just ahead of the Chargers Justin Herbert (114.80) and the Falcons’ Kirk Cousins (118.95).

Where should you draft Rodgers?

Rodgers’ fantasy value is to be rightfully doubted. Entering his 20th season — coming off the Achilles injury — he remains a question mark for the upcoming season.

He still has the mind of the Super Bowl winning quarterback we last saw at full strength 2 seasons ago which will certainly aid his return. He is also surrounded by the young, talented WR Garrett Wilson and his former Packers’ teammate WR Allen Lazard. On the ground, RB Breece Hall has created a name for himself with his success opening up further opportunities for Rodgers.

Rodgers will be more of a pocket-passer than a QB who is mobile on his feet, but with his talent, he will still be able to produce reasonable numbers for a QB.

Start looking to draft Rodgers in the 10th round and beyond. He has a major upside that we have seen in the past, but his downside is a lot steeper than many other QBs ahead of him. When healthy, he can be a great piece to a fantasy team, but his risk of injury outweighs any thoughts of taking him in the early to mid-rounds.

Fantasy football: Where to draft New England Patriots QB Drake Maye

Analyzing New England Patriots QB Drake Maye’s 2024 fantasy football ADP and where to target him in fantasy drafts.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

New England Patriots rookie QB Drake Maye is truly an unknown heading into the 2024 NFL season. Maye was selected with the 3rd overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of the University of North Carolina. He earned 2022 ACC Offensive Player of the Year and ACC Player of the Year with 38 touchdowns and 7 interceptions but struggled to replicate that dynamic season in 2023. Below, we look at Drake Maye’s 2024 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

Maye hopes to win the starting QB job for the Patriots, a team that has historically been among the best-coached sides in the NFL. However, QB Jacoby Brissett could also take that role and cripple Maye’s value to start the season. Maye has the potential to be a top-15 quarterback, which could prove valuable in 2-QB leagues. The signal-caller is intriguing in terms of fantasy value.

Among quarterbacks, Maye’s ADP puts him 17th at the position, behind the San Francisco’s Brock Purdy (83.84), Atlanta rookie Michael Penix Jr. (91.61) and Jacksonville’s Trevor Lawrence (92.32) and ahead of Detroit’s Jared Goff (94.49) and Denver rookie Bo Nix (105.66).

Where should you draft Maye?

Maye’s fantasy value is going to come mostly from 2-QB leagues or super flex leagues with a 2-QB option. While he may not start out of the gate, Maye should quickly take over as the Patriots leader. After all, you don’t draft a player with a top-5 pick and keep him on the bench for long.

The Patriots don’t have many weapons for him to work with, which will further limit his fantasy value. However, he has completed 8 of 14 passes in the preseason and has shown some poise when called upon. He was a star at UNC and has a dual-threat nature about his game.

The presence of Brissett does hurt Maye’s fantasy value slightly, but the rookie should become the starter relatively early on in the season. How he plays once he gets in that role will dictate if he can keep it. Maye has shown positive trends during training camp and the preseason, but being at the professional level against NFL defenses will be a different beast.

Draft Maye in the 9th round in superflex leagues given his high upside as a rusher and as the main weapon in the offense but continue to let him drop in leagues that feature just 1 quarterback. Even in true 2-QB leagues given the unknown of him starting the season, it might be wise to pass here.

Ultimately, his value comes in superflex leagues and as a stash to hope he can turn into something if named the starter. He was the 3rd overall pick for a reason, so there’s a good chance he can make magic happen in a coach Jered Mayo-led attack.

Where should you draft Tagovailoa?

Fantasy owners will rightfully doubt Tagovailoa due to his injury history, which includes multiple concussions. If he can stay healthy, he could be considered higher in a draft due to his dual-threat receiving options in WRs Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, who are both massive parts to why Tagovailoa led the league in passing yards last season.

As we saw a year ago, Tagovailoa will be limited in his rushing ability, which will take away points that other QBs in the draft will add. While McDaniel is skilled at creating offensive schemes resulting in points, Tagovailoa’s ability to be on the field and involved should be questioned.

Draft Tagovailoa anywhere from the 8th round and beyond in 10-team leagues. When healthy, he’s capable of averaging 22 or more points per game thanks to Hill and Waddle. But compared with others, he has a bigger downside. Despite his injury history, he played all 17 games last season which does count for something.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen is entering his 7th year in the NFL after being selected with the 7th overall pick in the 2018 draft. He has captained the Bills offense and led the team to the playoffs each of the last 5 seasons, falling in the divisional round each of the last 3 appearances. Allen has been selected to the Pro Bowl twice in the last 4 years. Below, we look at Josh Allen’s 2024 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

Entering 2024, he is expected to continue to dominate more as the top-5 QB that he is. The dual-threat signal-caller is intriguing in terms of fantasy value.

Where should you draft Allen?

While the Bills offense lost WR Stefon Diggs to the Texans, Allen’s value will remain just the same. His ability to keep the ball on the ground allows him to gain crucial extra points in fantasy. Buffalo’s offense may look different than in years past, however the added pressure for the team to make a playoff push will be advantageous for Allen and company.

Allen will be steadfast on any fantasy team and will surely make any roster better. It is no surprise he has the top ADP of any QB. He will continue to find connections with RB James Cook and WRs Khalil ShakirCurtis Samuel and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

While drafting a QB is typically frowned upon early in a draft, Allen is the exception. Not in the 1st round, but a 2nd-round pick is certainly where you can expect Allen to be considered and even taken. His ability to consistently average 25 or more fantasy points a game is not something that should be overlooked. Do not let Allen fall beyond the 3rd round.
