Final predictions of every game on the Ohio State football schedule for 2023

It’s game week and we make a final call for every game on the Ohio State football schedule for 2023. Will OSU get revenge against Michigan?

Rejoice Ohio State football fans. The college football season is upon us, and your Buckeyes take the field against the Indiana Hoosiers on Saturday.

It’s been a long offseason, one in which there was a lot of regret and reflection after losing to Michigan for the second straight year. The Buckeyes nearly made good on a second life, but fell in a heartbreaker to Georgia in the College Football Playoff.

But now it’s time to turn the page, and there will be plenty of opportunity for Ohio State to take a perch back atop the Big Ten and take another swing at the College Football Playoff.

It will not be easy though, because it’s a tough schedule with six home games and six away games. Can the Buckeyes win at Notre Dame, Michigan and Wisconsin? What about when Penn State for a visit to the Horseshoe?

Here is our final prediction of each game on the Ohio State schedule in 2023.

And this year the big game is at Michigan on Nov. 25 with a College Football Playoff berth most likely on the line. It’s not an easy schedule by any means, but one that should result in some memorable moments.

Ohio State 2023 football games ranked from easiest to most difficult

How do you rank Ohio State’s 2023 opponents? #GoBucks

We’re less than a month away from Ohio State football being back on the gridiron. The 2023 season can’t get here soon enough after the 2022 campaign ended with a loss to Michigan for a second year in a row and a heartbreaking loss to Georgia in the College Football Playoff semifinal.

With fall camp in full swing, it’s time to start dreaming about what might be for the season ahead. So, we’re going to take a look a the Ohio State schedule and rank the Buckeye’s opponents from easiest to most difficult. We’ll consider home vs. road matchups, last year’s records, as well as what a team has coming back.

So let’s get started, beginning with the only in-state opponent Ohio State will face.

Ranking Ohio State football games in 2023 by importance

We rank all of Ohio State football’s 2023 regular season games by importance. #GoBucks

Not all schedules are created equal and we’ve definitely seen that with our rivals to the north, who have one of the easiest nonconference schedules you can shake khakis at. Michigan plays (wait for it) East Carolina, UNLV, and Bowling Green.

Not exactly murderer’s row. More like charity square.

Ohio State has a pretty tough schedule, but just like schedules, not all games on a docket are held in the same light either. In the case of the Buckeyes, there are clearly more games that are important than others, no matter what the coaches’ speak might say, blah, blah, blah.

Because there are certain games circled, starred, and highlighted on OSU’s schedule more than others, we thought we’d rank all twelve regular season games on Ohio State’s schedule by importance.

We count down from least important to most. Off we go.
