NFL Week 11 Power Rankings: Dallas Cowboys make a statement

The Kansas City Chiefs and the Dallas Cowboys were among the teams on the rise in the latest NFL power rankings to conclude Week 11.

Everything is bigger in Texas.

Including the responses to blown fourth quarter leads. The Dallas Cowboys brought Götterdämmerung with them to U.S. Bank Stadium as they obliterated the Minnesota Vikings 40-3.

The Kansas City Chiefs found a way to get to the top with Patrick Mahomes engineering another fourth quarter comeback against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The NFL teams in the Big Apple sustained losses as the Giants dropped a home contest to the Detroit Lions and the Jets couldn’t cover a punt late in the fourth quarter. That will cost them a spot.

Here are the final NFL power rankings to conclude Week 11.

NFL Week 10 Power Rankings: Vikings new No. 1 — You like that?

Following the slip up from the Philadelphia Eagles, the Minnesota Vikings are the new No. 1 team in the latest NFL power rankings.

With Washington taking down the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football to conclude Week 10, it rearranged the top teams in the latest Touchdown Wire NFL power rankings.

Enter the Minnesota Vikings. Albeit the lone loss in their 8-1 mark is thanks to the Eagles, it is hard to argue against the way Minnesota has found ways to win since Week 2.

The Houston Texans remain a terrible team, but the Las Vegas Raiders are giving them company.

The Dallas Cowboys fell out of the top-10 with their loss to the Green Bay Packers, who made up some ground.

Here is a look at the latest power rankings following the conclusion of Week 10.

Dolphins crack top 10 again in Touchdown Wire power rankings

Everything’s starting to feel better.

The Miami Dolphins were able to squeak out of Week 9 with a 35-32 victory over the Chicago Bears, meaning they’ve earned their second three-game winning streak of the season.

Touchdown Wire’s Mark Lane has been producing weekly NFL power rankings, and after the Dolphins had fallen as low as No. 19 after losing for the third time in as many weeks, Mike McDaniel’s team has found their way back up to eighth.

Here’s what Lane wrote about Miami after their third win in a row:

“The Dolphins offense appears they can score on virtually every possession, and with being seventh in the NFL with 213 points, that may not be too far fetched. So what if rookie coach Mike McDaniel can’t win with backups? He can dominate with Tua Tagovailoa, which makes Miami an interesting challenging to the Buffalo Bills’ supremacy in the AFC East.”

This position feels about right for the Dolphins. However, ahead of them are the Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans.

The Eagles are undefeated and the Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes, which will always earn them respect, but Miami has beaten three of the remaining teams already this season and their lone loss of the group was to Minnesota without Tua Tagovailoa.

NFL Week 9 Power Rankings: Jets on the rise, Colts falling

The Miami Dolphins are making their case in the NFL power rankings after Week 9. The Indianapolis Colts are spiraling downward.

Some teams continued their dominance as the Philadelphia Eagles outpaced the Houston Texans to open up the festivities on Thursday Night Football.

Some teams continued their downward spiral as the Carolina Panthers took another loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Indianapolis Colts concluded Week 9 with the biggest surprise as they fired their coach and went completely outside the building for their interim coach.

The Miami Dolphins also continued their long march through the AFC East with a win in the Windy City.

Here is a look at the NFL power rankings following the results of Week 9.

NFL Week 8 Power Rankings: Eagles soaring, Texans tanking

The Philadelphia Eagles stay on top of the latest NFL power rankings for Week 8. Meanwhile the Houston Texans hit rock bottom.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

The San Francisco 49ers are starting to look like a whole new team with Christian McCaffrey in the backfield. The Seattle Seahawks also look like a threat in the NFC West. Also who would have thought the Las Vegas Raiders would have such a putrid record this far into the season?

The Houston Texans continue to be a problematic club with no solution at quarterback. The Philadelphia Eagles are starting to run away with the conference, let alone the NFC East.

Here is a look at the power rankings to finish up Week 8.

NFL Week 6 Power Rankings: No lead is safe!

Week 6 NFL power rankings! Here’s how all 32 teams stand in a season where there’s been as much scoring volatility as we’ve ever seen.

In the 2022 NFL season, no lead is safe.

Per NFL Research, there have been 23 games decided by a game-winning touchdown within the final two minutes of regulation or in overtime this season, the third-most such games in the first six weeks of a season in pro football history. Only 2021 (25 games) and 2012 (24) have more.

There have been 18 games in which a team overcame a deficit of at least 10 points to win or tie this season, tied for the fourth-most such games through Week 6. Only 2020 (19 games), 2011 (19) and 1987 (19) have more.

12 of 14 games in Week 6 were within one score (eight points) in the fourth quarter. There have been 73 games within one score in the fourth quarter and 57 games decided by one score, both the most such games through the first six weeks in pro football history.

On Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts overcame an 11-point deficit to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Cincinnati Bengals overcame a 10-point deficit to beat the New Orleans Saints. The New York Giants overcame a 10-point deficit to beat the Baltimore Ravens. The Giants have now won three games this season in which they had a deficit of 10 or more points, and the Ravens have now lost three games in which they once had a double-digit lead.

On Sunday night, the Philadelphia Eagles got out to a 20-0 lead against the Dallas Cowboys, and had to hang on for dear life after Dallas came back to make the score 20-17. And on Monday night, the Los Angeles Chargers overcame a 10-point deficit to beat the Denver Broncos in overtime.

More than ever, teams are turning seemingly certain losses into wins, and vice versa. With all that volatility going on, here’s how all 32 NFL teams measure up in our Week 6 power rankings.

NFL Power Rankings: Eagles, Chiefs still the teams to beat after Week 5

The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs are among the NFL’s elite in the power rankings following week Week 5.

Five weeks of the 2022 NFL season are in the books, and there are starting to be more and more knowns across the league.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs are dominant teams that just find ways to win. These teams will more than likely continue their quests in January.

The Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons continue to slip as some of the worst teams in the NFL. Their eyes are on the 2023 NFL draft.

There is still plenty to be sorted out though with 13 more weeks of NFL action on the table. Here are the power rankings through Week 5.

NFL Power Rankings: Eagles dominant, Chiefs resurgent, Patriots falling after Week 4

The Philadelphia Eagles are on top in the latest NFL power rankings following the results of Week 4.

The first four games of the 2022 NFL season are in the books, and the identities of some teams are starting to take shape.

The Philadelphia Eagles remain as the NFL’s unbeaten team. The wild-card team from a season ago is the best team in the league with a 4-0 record. Who would have thought the ’72 Dolphins would have to keep an eye on the Eagles?

The New England Patriots aren’t exactly inspiring fear in opponents as in years past. Similarly their former quarterback, now with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, isn’t haven’t too hot of a start.

Here are the NFL power rankings at the end of Week 4.
