Jayson Tatum’s son Deuce shares his plans for Miami after his father, Celtics send the Milwaukee Bucks fishing

The younger Tatum is ready for South Beach.

You might think that the star of the Boston Celtics’ series’ clinching win against the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks would be the unlikely hero who came out of nowhere to hit a career-high 27 points on 7 made 3-pointers in Grant Williams, or at least All-Star forward Jayson Tatum, who kept the team afloat through several tough patches with his 23 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists.

But the show at the podium after the big win was stolen by another Tatum entirely — the St. Louis native’s young son Deuce. Asked by the media if he was excited to go to Miami while sitting alongside his father after the game, the younger Tatum shared what it was he most looked forward to doing on arrival in the south Florida metropolis.

Check out the NBA TV clip embedded below snipped from the postgame media availability session to hear what that might be for yourself while you bask in the glow (or the sting) of the Celtics’ Game 7 victory.

NBA, Celtics Twitter react to Boston blowing out the Bucks, advancing to East finals vs. Miami Heat

Grant Williams was a key part of Boston advancing with his career night.

The Boston Celtics bested the Milwaukee Bucks 109-81 to advance to the league’s 2022 Eastern Conference finals to face the Miami Heat after defeating the defending NBA champs 4-3 in the East semis series between the two conference juggernauts.

The Celtics are likely seen as favorites to come out of the East after beating not only the defending champs but the preseason favorites to win it all in the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the 2022 NBA postseason, and their fans and NBA analysts on the Boston beat and far beyond it took to the league’s unofficial social media site to talk about it.

Let’s take a look at what NBA Twitter had to say about Boston’s big win over the Bucks.

Celtics highlights: Grant Williams career night, 3-point barrage lifts Boston past Bucks to Miami Heat East finals

Boston truly found their stride as a team at just the right moment.

The Boston Celtics hit their stride against the Milwaukee Bucks to win their Game 7 against the defending champs 109-81 at TD Garden on Sunday afternoon with a career-high out of forward Grant Williams with 27 points and 6 rebounds while the rest of the team had a balanced game overall.

Four other players scored in double figures against the Bucks (Marcus Smart with 11 points, 7 boards, 10 assists; Payton Pritchard with 14 points, 5 rebounds; Jaylen Brown with 19 points, 8 boards; Jayson Tatum with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists) as the Celtics held the Bucks to just 12% (yes, really) from beyond the arc.

If you missed the game or just want to bask in the glory of the Game 7 win over Milwaukee, check out the clip embedded below to that end, courtesy of the folks over at NBC Sports Boston.

Celtics injury update: Robert Williams III available to play vs. Milwaukee Bucks in Game 7

Timelord will be available, but only if needed.

The Boston Celtics will be at nearly full strength in their Game 7 showdown with the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday afternoon with news of positive developments on the health front for the team breaking. Celtics head coach Ime Udoka revealing that big man Robert Williams III will be available to the team after missing several games due to swelling and discomfort in a knee operated on for a meniscal tear in March and aggravated by a collision with Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo in Game 3.

“He’s available to play,” related Udoka at the team’s pre-game press conference. “He hasn’t done a whole lot of basketball activities in the last week. It’s more so managing the pain; as I mentioned, strucuturally, he’s okay.”

“He’s available to go, he won’t start, and we’ll go with our normal rotation in the last week’s games with him being out, and we’ll use him if needed,” added the Celtics coach.

The Celtics are still without the services of forward Sam Hauser (shoulder instability episode), and the Bucks without those of forward Khris Middleton (MCL sprain).

Celtics – Bucks highlights: The best of the 2022 second-round series between Boston and Milwaukee

Get up to speed on the epic East semis series so far with this highlight clip from the NBA.

Whoever wins or loses the Eastern Conference semifinals series between the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks will owe themselves quite a pat on the back given there’s been more than a few NBA Finals series with less intense, less certain, and to be fair, less interesting battles.

Through six games total, the two teams have come about as close as any two juggernauts can, and the likely series outcome may depend on who has the energy — and the health — to get across the finish line in Sunday’s Game 7 showdown. Will it be the rising, young Celtics to win the day? Or the more experienced Bucks?

While we wait for the definitive Game 7 to unfold, the NBA put together a series highlight video for us to enjoy and get into the right headspace for the epic battle to come.

What are the Boston Celtics’ keys to victory in Game 7 against the Milwaukee Bucks?

We’re pretty sure complaining to referees isn’t one of them.

What is the key to victory for the Boston Celtics in their decisive Game 7 against the Milwaukee Bucks Sunday afternoon? Some critical adjustment, or a particular player playing up to their potential? Could the way for the Celtics to return to the Eastern Conference finals be as simple as nailing the execution of what the team has already been doing for some time?

And what about the Bucks? What do the Celtics need to ensure happens in order to prevent Milwaukee to send them home this postseason? How should Boston approach this all-important contest on their home court of TD Garden?

The hosts of the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast got together with Celtics Blog’s Jack Simone to talk over what needs to happen for whom as Boston gets ready for a huge Game 7 battle with the Bucks on Sunday afternoon.

21 people injured in 3 separate shootings after Celtics’ Game 6 win in Milwaukee

The postgame scene took a nightmarish turn in the area near the arena on Friday.

The Milwaukee Bucks’ loss to the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of their East semis series with the Celtics took an unexpectedly dark turn after the contest ended, with a total of 21 people ending up injured in three separate shooting incidents occurring near the arena after the game according to the AP’s Jim Salter.

The city will remain under a limited curfew following the shootings, with a Game 7 watch party outside Fiserv Forum being canceled in response “after consultation with the city and public safety agencies,” according to a Milwaukee government official who was quoted in the AP story.

“The shootings that happened in downtown Milwaukee last night were horrific and we condemn this devastating violence,” related the Bucks in a statement.

“We are grateful to local law enforcement for its valiant efforts to try to contain what was a dangerous and fluid situation,” they added.
