There was some worry the Canadiens and Lightning might be delayed traveling back from Montreal to Tampa due to Hurricane Elsa, now a tropical storm. The storm should be well out of the area by the time the puck drops.

The Canadiens staved off elimination with an overtime win in Game 4 on home ice Monday, but playing at Amalie Arena is a different animal.

The Lightning had a golden opportunity heading into OT in Game 4 on a double-minor high-sticking call to Canadiens D Shea Weber. Lightning RW Nikita Kucherov misfired on an open net to the left of G Carey Price, and the Habs were able to kill the penalty and then get a winner from RW Josh Anderson a few moments later.

Price easily had his best outing of the series in Game 4, by turning aside 32 of the 34 shots he faced, and he received a little help from the goalie’s best friend, the crossbar.

Vasilevskiy wasn’t terrible in Game 4, but he wasn’t amazing, either, while allowing 3 goals on 21 shots. He and his Tampa Bay teammates now get an opportunity to win the Cup on home ice.

The Lightning (-250) will cost you two and a half times your potential return, and while I believe they get it done Wednesday, that’s too heavy of a risk.

Against the spread (ATS)

The LIGHTNING -1.5 (+120) are a much better play on the puck line, although it won’t be easy.

In fact, I expect that it will require an empty-net goal to salt this game away, and then the celebration will kick off in Tampa, which is quickly becoming the new Titletown U.S.A.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 5 (+110) is the play here. I think Price will continue his outstanding play, holding the Lightning down, and Vasilevskiy will be hungry after losing Game 4. The scoring chances will be fewer and further between, which is commonly the case as a series goes longer and longer.

Montreal head coach Dominique Ducharme has backed his goaltender confirming there is no question Carey Price will be in the crease for Game 4. Price allowed 5 goals on 29 shots in Game 3 but he definitely wasn’t the only problem. He has coughed up 13 goals in three games this series while posting a subpar .835 SV%.

Against the spread (ATS)

The CANADIENS +1.5 (-200) will cost you two times your potential return. Montreal hasn’t won a game on home ice in regulation since the second round against the Jets, as it has shown a flair for the dramatic when getting it done. We still haven’t had an overtime game in this series and Game 4 seems like a good time for it.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 5 (-130) is a strong play in this elimination game. The Canadiens were able to post a series-high three goals in Game 3, and the Lightning were still able to take care of the Over on their own. Look for another higher-scoring game in this one.

The Lightning took a 2-0 series lead with a pair of resounding victories in front of their raucous home crowd. They outscored the Canadiens 8-2 in the first two games of this series.

Quebec’s provincial government allows up to 3,500 spectators at Bell Centre, and the public health department denied the Habs’ request to increase capacity for Games 3 and 4. That is the big story, as Montreal won’t be able to feed off the same kind of intense crowd as the Lightning did in Tampa, Fla.

The LIGHTNING (-135) are a decent play on the road, as they look to ice the Canadiens again and put the home side in a precarious 3-0 series hole.

Montreal’s offense has disappeared in this series with a total of just 2 goals. While the lack of a boisterous crowd might throw Tampa off a little, it saw it before in the bubble last season and wasn’t distracted.

Against the spread (ATS)

The CANADIENS +1.5 (-250) are very expensive, and I am a little reluctant to pay such a price. However, I do not think we’ve seen the best of Montreal yet in this series, and we’ll get the Habs’ best effort here.

I believe this one goes to overtime, although it ends in disappointment for the home side just like the first two games.

Over/Under (O/U)

I believe the total lands right on 5 goals, and that’s why I cannot stand flat five lines.

I actually lean more to the alternate line of OVER 4.5 (-200), rather than the Under 5.5 (-185), as I believe the Habs are able to generate slightly more offense on home ice than in Tampa.

The CANADIENS +1.5 (-150) just didn’t have it in the series opener, as the Lightning stormed to the 5-1 win and easy puck line cover.

However, Montreal has shown time and time again that it has another gear. When everyone wants to count the Canadiens out they will make the opposition work for it. They barely made it into the playoffs and were down 3-1 to the Toronto Maple Leafs in Round 1. They persevered. They were underdogs to the Winnipeg Jets. They not only persevered, but they also swept. They were heavy underdogs to the Vegas Golden Knights and upended the hockey world by winning in six games.

Look for Montreal to keep it close, perhaps even falling in overtime.

Over/Under (O/U)

I expect the TOTAL 5 to come in right on the number. Playing UNDER 5.5 (-165) on the alternate line is the better play, as I expect a much better defensive effort and a good showing from Price.
