Swinney shares injury updates after the bye week

Dabo Swinney updated the status of multiple injured Tigers following their Week 7 bye.

Following the Tigers Week 7 bye, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney has shared injury updates on multiple key players.

Great news for Clemson fans heading into a big Week 8 matchup at Miami: Swinney shared that they “anticipate having everybody” available, other than wide receiver Cole Turner and offensive lineman Walker Parks, who have suffered season-ending injuries. Clemson has been without starters Antonio Williams and Nate Wiggins for some time, so this is great news to hear.

“I think mentally and physically, we’re probably in as good of a spot as we’ve been since the beginning of the season,” Swinney said.

“No, those guys, Nate’s been grinding… He missed two games. So, he’s just been grinding through his rehab and doing what he needs to do, and he was really close against Wake but just couldn’t quite go what he wanted to. Same thing with Antonio. So, really, it’s just time. They’re just continuing to do the rehab process. Our doctors and all of them have done a great job. And then (Jones) was just a really weird situation. So, we’ve gotten all the tests back, and all that stuff all checked out good for him.”

We will wait for further updates this week to confirm that these players are healthy and ready to go.
