Stock up, down after Giants’ 34-27 loss to Jets

Whose stock is up and whose is down following the New York Giants’ loss to the New York Jets in Week 10?

Stock Up: Wide receiver Golden Tate

Tate has been nothing but aces for the Giants. Does he make Giant fans forget Odell Beckham Jr.? Probably not, but he came here with a track record of production and is adding to his lengthy resume with each passing week.

On Sunday, Tate caught four passes for 95 yards with two touchdowns against the Jets. He won’t reach his averages for the last six seasons (89 catches, 1,003 yards) due to the four game suspension he served at the beginning of the season, but he’s proving to be a solid addition to the Giants.

Stock Down: Tight end Evan Engram

Engram missed his second game of the season due to injury on Sunday. This time he has a sprain in the middle of his foot. This is Engram’s third season and he has yet to play a full one.

Yes, he has the explosiveness that makes him so very attractiveness, but the Giants will have to make a decision on Engram’s fifth-year option this coming offseason. The injury history is going to play into that. I’m guessing they”ll do it. There is also the possibility they deal Engram this offseason rather than extend him.
