Texas could be without starting quarterback Quinn Ewers for several weeks.
Ewers suffered a shoulder injury on his throwing shoulder against Houston last week. The injury is believed to be an AC joint sprain and the recovery timeline varies.
Head coach Steve Sarkisian didn’t provide much of an update on Ewers’ injury to the media on Monday, but he did state that Texas’ starting quarterback will be “week to week.”
Ewers’ injury does not appear to be season ending and it’s likely he could return before the Big 12 championship game in December. Until then, Maalik Murphy will look to keep Texas in the conference title hunt.
Texas football coach Steve Sarkisian said Quinn Ewers and Ethan Burke will be week-to-week at this point. Sarkisian said Jalen Catalon is in the same boat. Said they'll do everything in their power to get them back.
