Stats, Highlights: Warriors’ Klay Thompson heats up from long-distance vs. Kings on Thursday

Klay Thompson caught fire on the way to seven made 3-pointers in the Warriors’ win over the Kings. Here’s a look at the stats and highlights.

Similar to previous performances against the Sacramento Kings, Thursday night Klay Thompson put on a show at San Francisco’s Chase Center.

During the Golden State Warriors contest with their Northern California rival, It didn’t take long for Thompson to heat up. In the first quarter, Thompson buried his first two attempts from deep.

He followed his opening act with four triples in the second quarter. Before the halftime buzzer rang, Thompson had already tallied 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field in only 14 minutes of action.

While Thompson slowed down a bit in the second half, he still managed to sink another ridiculous 3-pointer. On a fastbreak, Thompson splashed another 3-pointer after pulling up from deep with a defender in his face.

Thompson finished the game with a team-high 23 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field with seven 3-pointers in 23 minutes. Thompson’s 23 point effort matched his season-high.

The 31-year-old has now tallied 14 or more points in his last five games. Thompson has also nailed at least one 3-pointer in each of those games.
