Standout CU Buffs WR Jordyn Tyson to look for opportunities elsewhere

Standout freshman WR Jordyn Tyson will be looking for opportunities elsewhere

Standout Colorado football WR Jordyn Tyson entered the transfer portal on Monday, becoming the latest Buffs pass catcher to look for opportunities elsewhere, along with junior Montana Lemonious-Craig, Chase Sowell and Grant Page.

Tyson had a productive freshman campaign in 2022, tallying 22 catches for a team-leading 470 yards and four touchdowns before suffering a season-ending injury.

Time will tell where Tyson ultimately lands, but he should get plenty of interest in the portal given that he still has three years of eligibility remaining and was one of the Buffs’ rare bright spots in 2022.

Between him and Lemonious-Craig, Colorado now has a sudden hole to patch in its WR room. That hole could be patched by dynamic two-way player Travis Hunter in 2023. Hunter has been learning the offensive playbook this spring and figures to have a big role on that side of the ball this fall.
