Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama reaches 1,000 career NBA points

San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama just scored his 1,000th-career NBA point.

When the San Antonio Spurs drafted Victor Wembanyama, they knew they were getting a generational talent. And so far this season, he’s lived up to the hype that was following him leading up to the NBA Draft and into the year. His talent on both ends of the court is apparent, and he looks like he’ll be a problem for years to come.

The Spurs were in California for a matchup with the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night, and Wembanyama made some history. He scored his 1,000th-career NBA point. With the bucket, he became the third-fastest active player to reach 1,000 career points.

The only two active players who reached the mark faster than Wembanyama are Luka Doncic and LeBron James. ESPN captured the moment in a video on YouTube, also including the rest of his highlights from the Spurs’ loss to the Kings.

Wembanyama is an absolute monster on the basketball court.
