A new NASCAR Truck Series team has been born. On Monday morning, NASCAR driver [autotag]Spencer Boyd[/autotag] and Freedom Warranty owner Chris Miller announced a partnership as they formed [autotag]Freedom Racing Enterprises[/autotag]. Boyd will be the full-time driver of the No. 76 truck after buying some of GMS Racing’s old trucks and the No. 43 entry’s owner points.

Boyd has spent the last five seasons with Young’s Motorsports in the Truck Series, but this represents a new journey for him. As for the No. 76 team, Greg Ely will be the crew chief as Jeff Hammond becomes the new general manager. With equipment and points from GMS Racing, the organization is starting on a strong foot compared to other new teams in the past.

Freedom Racing Enterprises joins Faction 46 as the second new Truck Series organization for the 2024 NASCAR season. This comes as GMS Racing and Kyle Busch Motorsports both leave the series. It will be interesting to see how well Boyd and Freedom Racing Enterprises compete with trucks from an organization that could have won the championship last year.
