Michigan State is one of 10 schools still in the thick of it for a big-time recruit in the 2023 class.
Four-star defensive lineman Kayden McDonald released his top 10 schools list on Thursday — which included the Spartans. Michigan State was joined by Arkansas, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, NC State, Michigan, Oklahoma, Ohio State and Texas A&M.
McDonald is ranked as the No. 37 defensive lineman and No. 242 overall player in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2023 class. He’s also marked as the No. 24 player from Georgia.
McDonald is currently projected to end up as a Georgia Bulldog commit, according to 247Sports’ crystal ball predictions. However, he is slated to take an official visit to Michigan State later this month so that could possibly help the Spartans’ chances at landing this key defensive target.
#AGTG I’m thankful for the opportunities and relationships I’ve been blessed with through this process. These are schools I will be focusing on. 🙏🏽 pic.twitter.com/5D61fB8lm9
