A questionable foul call on Brock Cunningham in the game’s final minute gave Miami the lead for good. Texas would follow with a costly turnover leading to more Hurricane free throws.
Jordan Miller turned in a phenomenal performance for Miami, scoring 27 points on a perfect 7-of-7 shooting day. He iced the game with clutch free throws down the final stretch. All five Miami starters finished the game in double figures.
This Longhorns squad was one of the program’s best in recent memory. Rodney Terry did a fantastic job leading this group to a Big 12 tournament title and Elite Eight appearance. Unfortunately for Texas, the dream season came up just a bit short.
