Social media reacts to Rodney Terry being upset about horns down

Rodney Terry didn’t take kindly to the Golden Knight’s post-game handshakes.

Texas basketball lost an embarrassing game on Wednesday to UCF, 77-71.

At one point, the Longhorns held a 12-point lead but, to some surprise, blew it and lost the game. Texas now sits at 1-3 in Big 12 conference play, losing two in a row.

Following the ending of Texas’ loss, the players lined up to shake hands like they normally do. Texas head coach Rodney Terry saw something that upset him and told the UCF players, “That’s classless, don’t do that.”  Many were speculating on what happened until the postgame press conference, where Terry explained what he saw.

“About 6 or 7 guys putting the horns down. We don’t do that because when you do those kinds of things, it looks very classless.”

Of course, when people do the “Horns Down” sign, it gains attraction. Many Texas fans could care less about it, but obviously, it didn’t sit well with Rodney Terry.

Here is how social media reacted to it.
