Washington Commanders quarterback Sam Howell proved again he had some magic in his right arm late in the game. Down 26-19 with around two minutes remaining, Howell led the Commanders on a game-tying score against the Seattle Seahawks.
The only mistake Howell made was leaving too much time on the clock. After Howell’s 35-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Dyami Brown, the Seahawks had 53 seconds remaining against Washington’s struggling defense.
Seattle quarterback Geno Smith found wide receiver DK Metcalf for two completions on the final drive, setting up kicker Jason Myers for a 43-yard game-winning opportunity. Myers drilled it, and Washington had dropped yet another heartbreaker, falling to 4-6 on the season.
Social media was not happy with Washington’s struggling defense, which allowed 489 total yards and 369 passing yards.
