The Ohio State women’s basketball team is outright Big Ten champions after a thorough beat down of archrival Michigan. Tied at halftime with only 22 points apiece, the Buckeyes went on a tear scoring 45 points in the second half and holding the Wolverines to just 29 points in the final two frames. Defensively, OSU forced Michigan to turn the ball over 29 times with its stifling defensive effort.
The Buckeyes looked like a team on a mission Wednesday night as their last blemish came at the hands of the Wolverines. Winning by double digits and securing an outright regular-season conference championship by beating the Maize and Blue has to be a sweet feeling.
