It was a tale of two halves in Tuscaloosa on Saturday afternoon as Arkansas fell to No. 2 Alabama 86-83.
The Razorbacks were up by as much as 11 points in the first half, but found themselves down by as many as 12 in the second half. A lot of Arkansas’ second half struggles came from the free throw line and defensive glass.
Despite being down by double-figures with 3:08 left to play, the Razorbacks rallied to cut Alabama’s lead to as little as two with 7.8 seconds left. [autotag]Ricky Council[/autotag]’s final desperation heave at the buzzer was off the mark and Arkansas suffers their fourth loss of SEC play when leading by as much as 10 points in a game.
[autotag]Nick Smith Jr.[/autotag] had another great game, scoring 24 points and playing all 40 minutes. [autotag]Devo Davis[/autotag] also had a huge game adding 21 points in his first big performance since Smith returned to the lineup.
Here’s what they’re saying about Arkansas falling short in their upset bid of Alabama.
