National signing day is here, and all eyes were on the state of Texas to see where Timpson standout Terry Bussey will sign. After being committed during the Jimbo Fisher era Bussey opened his recruitment back up after the firing of Fisher. Everyone came knocking and strong pushes came from Georgia and LSU late threatening a flip situation before signing day.
The five-star athlete put an end to the speculation on Wednesday morning when he made everything official signing on the dotted line to play in College Station. This was a massive get for Mike Elko to retain one of the best players in the nation and a testament to the University being a place athletes want to commit to. Bussey already had an affinity for Texas A&M and after getting to know Coach Elko he knew he wanted to stay committed to Texas A&M as he told 247 Sports.
They’ll do a great job coaching me and developing me and are overall great ball coaches. Just being able to build those relationships with the new guys so fast and so quick and seeing what they’re all about. I’ve been close with Coach Gaines and Coach BGA and the new guys they brought in it’s been special building a relationship with them.”
