Snoop Dogg, Triller to form new boxing platform ‘The Fight Club’

Snoop Dogg is teaming with Triller co-owner Ryan Kavanaugh to form a boxing league called “The Fight Club.”

Snoop Dogg evidently is just getting started in the boxing business.

The rapper, whose commentary during the Mike Tyson-Roy Jones Jr. exhibition won rave reviews, reportedly is teaming with Triller co-owner Ryan Kavanaugh to form a boxing league called “The Fight Club.”

Kavanaugh, speaking to TMZ, said Tyson-Jones was the kickoff promotion of the new platform.

“This is gonna be big,” he told TMZ. “… The whole idea is we want to change up the way that boxing is done.”

Kavanaugh said that The Fight Club will feature both sanctioned and non-sanctioned bouts, apparently including fights between celebrities. It will also include musical acts, as fans saw during the Tyson-Jones pay-per-view broadcast.

Kavanaugh teased an upcoming event that he believes will be bigger than Tyson-Jones, which reportedly generated a healthy 1.2 million pay-per-view buys.

“I can tell you that the main fight — I can’t say it yet — but it’s gonna be something that everybody wants to see,” he said.

“If you thought [Tyson vs. Jones] is big, I think that this would be even larger from a worldwide-appetite perspective and something that people want to see.”

Fans can expect Snoop Dogg to be on the new platform’s broadcasts.
